    Comments about Cen-Tech 8" Digital Caliper:

    This caliper is a nice tool, and compares favorably with more expensive brands. BUT, batteries do not last very long in the tool between uses. It must draw more current than other more expensive calipers even when they are off!

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      Comments about Cen-Tech 8" Digital Caliper:

      I needed a caliper that reads to 8" so I picked up this unit. Right off the bat I noticed you can measure something 10 times and get 8-10 different readings some of which are way off from others. I deal with parts that need to be precisely measured and this tool doesn't do it. I tried everything I could think of such as blowing off and wiping the rule down to see if there was any dirt on it causeing the errant readings but nothing helped. It's going back to Harbor Freight 1st chance I get.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
