Cant say to much about the saw. I paid like $5 for it and it cuts through 2x4 and 4x4s like butter. Have had no problems with it. Good saw for the price.

Teeth are either too course, alternating teeth are offset too much, or excessively curved. Just threw it away. Hard to start, only likes to cut on the back draw, binds on every stroke. Tried hard wood, soft wood, plywood, branches. Waste of money.

Will not cut 2x4, will not cut 2x2, WILL NOT CUT BALSA WOOD 4x4! Will not cut coconut brick. Will not cut cardboard box although the reverse stroke did manage to tear some lovely pieces out. For those of you who think I am an idiot or a weakling I ended up sawing through all of the above with a japanese flush cut saw, way more work than I should have had to do for simple jobs. Total garbage waste of time! How do you screw up a saw?

I bought this saw because the advertising that it cuts on the pull and the push. It does cut on the pull, and quite aggressively, however when you try to push the saw through the wood the teeth are so coarse that it jams in place and you cannot make it cut. You have to reset the saw after every stroke and make another pull stroke because it will not cut when you push it. It is basically useless.

This saw looked like a good idea with features such as coarse teeth for rapid cuts and cutting on push and pull stroke (theoretically). In trying to use it I couldn't get it to start a clean kerf. It catches and requires multiple attempts to get going. Once it gets going it does cut fairly aggressively. I think there was a defect in the sharpening/setting of the teeth. I have been woodworking for 30+ years and have much experience hand sawing. I feel certain it isn't operator error. The price is very good but picking out a properly sharpened and set saw is a very difficult thing. I might have just gotten a dud, but buyer beware
