This is an incredibly useful socket set! The whole concept of go through sockets is great but you can't beat the price from HF. My only complaint is that you can't buy replacement sockets or other sizes than those included in the set. Also, it would be nice if there were longer extensions available for tight spaces.

It's extremely versatle as you can use the included adapter to turn standard sockets (non-go-thru) or even use a non-go-thru ratchet with a 3/4 socket and fit ANY of these sockets on it. Very helpful if you don't have all the sizes you need in one set but you do in the other.

After many years of use it is still my first set to use. The Ratchet has more teeth than typical making it great to use in limited swing areas. I've had my set about 5 years and use it almost every day. The only thing I don 't like is the different cases they come in now. The old case is much better.

This is what I reach for first. So versatile, no need for deep socket in most cases. Because of the size of the sockets, you will run into some clearance issues, but seldom on normal type jobs. Just ordered 3 more, one for each car, and one for a gift@

This set is fantastic. Truly good tools are those that will do jobs nothing else will. This set falls into that category. I changed my rear struts on my Grand Prix and there is very limited clearance to remove the top strut bolts in the trunk. Only this tool could do this job as the studs are too long for a standard socket and the clearance is too little for a deep well socket. An amazingly good deal. BUY IT.

I installed headers on my latest hotrod and discovered that I couldn't change the spark plugs with a traditional plug wrench. After unsuccessfully trying to make my own tool, I started browsing the HF website for a solution and found it! The go-thru socket set is worth every penny - even if all I use it for is changing spark plugs.

Harbor Freight again gives another great value item. I have been using them for over a year and have held up to the abuse like a champ.

I thought about 4 stars because of the lack of larger sockets, but realized a large bolt wouldn't fit through the wrench anyways so I can't discount it for that.

If you are buying your first beginners socket set get this one even if you don't need the go-through feature. Trust me someday you WILL need it and you WILL be sorry you passed on this for a regular set.

used for long bolts - wish i had thought of these type tools- this set is adequate -they come out with larger sockets later.

This "go-thru" design is very handy for long studs or automotive emergency brake cable adjustments. My hat's off to the guy that designed this!

This go through socket set comes in real handy when you don't feel like digging out a deep wall socket or when you encounter long studs. The only down side is that HF doesn't offer them in 1/2 inch drive. Also, a larger variety of socket sizes would be nice. Besides that, I am really happy with this socket set.
