The bar that holds the magnets is heavy duty it is not flimsy at all, the magnet could be a little stronger but they are strong enough to get the job done, and will hold most hand tools just fine.

I use them at my work bench and they help me keep track of my tools I just put them on the magnets when I am done using them for the moment.

These Magnetic Tool Holder are a huge improve of others I have gotten in the past from HFT.

Catch these on sale and you'll really get your money's worth. While setting up my shop area, I purchased 4 of these for wrenches and pliars. After I put them up, I went back and purchased 5 more. I hang welding tools on them, screwdrivers, nutdrivers, anything that will hold to a magnet. It really cleared out my tool box. But the deal closer was when my wife came to the shop and asked for a pair of priars. I pointed to my pegboard, she used them and put them right back. Later that night, she told me she loved the way I had those laid out. The only thing that could make it better is if they had some about twice the length. Buy it, you'll like it.

I bought 4 of these yesterday on a 60% off deal. Mounted one on the side of a tool chest, will mount 2 on my rollaorund cart so that I can keep the tools I am using handy but not on top of the cart where I am working, for $4 each they are pretty strong and well built. the last one I will mount on the backpanel of my work bench to hold screws, bolts and things to when I am working on stuff.

I grabbed 3 of these on a sale six months ago thinking I'll put a use to them somehow. On little tasks I was keeping one in it's packaging and using it like a magnetic tray, holding bits and nuts and bolts while I worked on stuff. (I hate magnetic trays because stuff winds up sticking to the bottom magnet. These are better because they are really only magnetic on the exposed part)

Last weekend I used some drywall anchors to put them around the garage. I put one by the garage door opener by the door to keep the essentials, so I can just run down and grab a screwdriver or crescent wrench without having to go into the garage and open up a toolbox or drawer. Very low profile, and strong enough to hold an 8" and 10" crescent wrench. I'm very happy, I'm getting some more, great to put in those odd areas where a shelf doesn't fit or make sense.

Funnily enough, I was wishing I hadn't installed one a few days ago. I had to drill some metal and had filings on the floor and didn't want to use by shop brush or vacuum, these would have come in really handy, I could have made a little magnetic broom with these instead of using the round magnet on the bottom of the magnetic tray I hate that I wound up using (just threw it in a cheap plastic shopping bag and went filing fishing). Will keep one unmounted to use as a 3rd hand and for the odd job.

It is holding together part of my furnace right now! Yes, I will need a more permanent fix but it's a real blessing for the time being. I'm sure you'll be able to find creative applications for this magnet.

Have 3 of these..am going to buy more today. Holds saw blades, knives, pliers, crow bars (18"), etc.. Am going to put a half wall in with these for wrenches, screw drivers, etc..

I have these hung all over the workshop and garage.
Leave the plastic blister on one, and it makes a great tool for collecting nails, screws, and small parts from the shop floor!
