Everything Good Except One Weakness

Enough power for drilling wood and thin metal. Keyless chuck is a great convenience. The only thing I don't like about it is that the opening for releasing the heat produced by the motor is located at a location that can easily be blocked by your palm and fingers, causing the motor to run slowly. That's because there is little room for the other hand to hold the drill steady without blocking the air opening.

Good drill....however,

Bought this one year ago. I used this drill a lot and really beat it to death on general construction. It's powerful and has good balance. It's a little wider than my new non-HarborFreight drill so getting into tight places is not great. I found that the chuck would tighten while using. Now, I cannot disengage/untighten the chuck so the drill is useless now. My biggest complaint is I dislike keyless chucks. The drill bit is only as secure based on your hand strength. Upgrade to a drill with a keyed chuck. Otherwise this drill is fine for light/medium duty work just bear in mind the chuck will tighten during use.

Highly recommended drill! Tons of power in a compact and lightweight design. Blows away all cordless drills in power, and keeps up with top-brand corded drills, which are about 5-8x the price. Would recommend to anyone!

Got the Chicago Electric drill for Birthday Present.
The second time I went to use it, it didn't last till I finished the job.
It stripped out the gears inside.
I will not recommend any power tools to friends and family from Harbor Freight Tools.
I'm sure I won't buy another power tool from Harbor Freight Tools.
I contacted Harbor Freight Tools about 2 weeks ago about this product and so far they have failed to respond. 7-2-12
