this was just what i needed~ worked flawless, saved me hours, i just bough a truck with lerrers on it, tryed a heat gun (no good) tryed to just peel, was removing the paint, bought this and it was done! by the way the one i got was 36 watts and it was plenty hot!

picked it up to remove the decals on my motorcycle. yes it took a while to heat up, but man did it do a great job removing the tank pad and decals off the tank... id recommend this to any one who refinishes motorcycles

I used this to remove old weathered decals and pinstripes on a badly weathered boat. It worked as advertised. Great product and way better than the "Goo Gone".

The plastic on my decal remover was cracked where one of the three screws meets the soldering iron like attachment. This made using the thing difficult at best.





My real issue with it is that it doesn't get hot enough to do anything! 15 watts folks. HF sells a 30w soldering iron that the razor blade attachment would fit into. You can get 60w pencil type soldering irons cheaply too. At any rate, the razor blade attachment is going to be fitted on a much more powerful soldering iron so it can be useful in the future. In my case, Goo Gone worked wonders - but I was mostly removing emblems fr my truck to be repainted.

Got it to remove decals from the fairings of a motorcycle. It started off doing relatively fine on the straighter surfaces, although it was totally useless on anything with a curve. Then after about 10 minutes of use, the metal portion went all "wonky" in the handle, like it melted the plastic around it. It would be better if they just sold the attachment to use with a soldering iron as the iron supplied was darn flimsy.

Broke while removing first decal. Hot metal part flops around. This product should be recalled.

Remove the 3 screws that hold the metal tube. Push the outside tube up. Cut 3 1/8-3/16 tabs bent to 90 degrees. Reassemble. The small rolled end does not hold. The iron will fall around and be loose with very little use.

I bought this today and it worked well for about 10 minutes. the three screws that hold on the heat rod have a horrible design flaw. heats up gets loose and eventually falls off. I can't believe they haven't been REQUIRED to change the design. it would cost them an extra buck or two to make this a better design right out of the factory. I would never buy this again. its pointless. its not for multiple uses thats for sure. can't withstand its own heat. Not impressed.

Worked great for about 15 minutes. Then where the screws attach the metal to the handle, melted. So i bought a weller soldering iron and replaced the handle. Hopefully i can get some more use out of it now. Please redesign! I'd pay $10 more for one that would last.
