Had this one for four years,last one 2 years but gave it to a buddy that was very impressed. Both are still working accurately. No maintenance required, a money saving little device. It truly doesn't get any better than this folks!.This little jewel makes a great gift, especially at the price.

This little device is great to test groups of failing batteries to weed out the worse cells and keep the remaining ones at similar levels. This can eek a lot extra out in the long run and that includes saving having to throw out a bunch of good batteries when only some are bad. It is so much fun to go through the piles at home and quickly sort out the dead ones and toss them out and keep the ones that were suspected and now confirmed good or at least ok. It seems that it has no battery need of its own, and uses only the battery it is testing to get the reading. You don't want to be worrying about batteries for this too. Only negative is it won't test 3V batteries like lithium CR 2032's or 2025's, etc. But for all standard sizes - it's great and cuts down on battery clutter and uncertainty.

I've had a rather large & bulky battery tester for over 15 years, I couldnt believe how compact this one was so I bought it and it is much mor accurate. It also has the rare small battery tester on the bottom of device. GREAT DEAL

One for the office & one for home at this price! Unlike some of the other battery testers that NEED A BATTERY to operate; this 'lil fella is just connect - and watch the needle. Why get fancy?

it does not work on D batteries. The battery tester does not open far enough to accomodate a D battery. Other than that it works well on the other battteries listed on the package.

the three lights( good, weak,bad) all will light up, they flicker on and off, changing from moment to moment. At times, i thought it might relate to the pressure i placed on the device, but i don't think so.
tried it with different sizes batteries, Never got a reading that was consistnet
