The holes for the installation lag bolts do not accept 3/8th bolts very well. You have to use a 9/16 socket to ratchet them down through the plastic and it's slow going. Instead, I just used 5/16th and called it done.

I ran a few test boards through it and it cuts very straight for such a low price tag. This looks very familiar to another saw out there (red brand) that has reviews stating it has an uneven iron surface. The surface of this saw is straight and true.

I was surprised to see that it comes with a carbide-tipped blade. The blade isn't too bad but an upgrade in this area could really make this saw sing.

Ordinarily, I buy older, used equipment. But why when for the same or less money you can get a decent new saw. Of course, this isn't a cabinet-grade saw. You get what you pay for but what you get will get the job done for most of us out there.

By the way, this does not come with a stand any more. I built my own out of 2x4s to get going. Perhaps one day I'll make up a proper stand that allows bigger cuts but for now it gets the job done.

I bought this saw to rip pieces of Trex decking to finish off my deck. I wasn't too concerned with long term quality or ease of use because I figured I'd only use it once. I have a lot of tools but this was my first table saw. I have to say it was real easy to use, accurate, and did exactly what I needed it to. Since the deck I've found other uses for it and it works like a champ.

Turns out the stand is included. Had I known before I would have purchased it long ago. Also looks much better than display unit in store due to customer mangling.

First the good:
I've owned this saw for about 2 months now. I actually went in to by a cheaper table saw; They were out of stock so they sold me this one for the same price. When I unpacked it, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the blade guard, the table top and the overall construction, plus it comes with it's own stand. You really have to pay close attention to the manual and take your time to set it up correctly. I personally think that this is a nuch better product than comparable 13 & 15 amp 10" saws like Cr@ftsm@n and Ry0bi.
Now the not so good:
The rip fence needs special attention, you really have to line up the front and back before you lock it down to ensure a straight cut. Also, the track for the miter fence does not have a close tolerance it will drift slightly. I built a custom wooden crosscut sled (get the plans from You_tube), so I hardly use the included fences.
Overall, nice little unit for the price if you can work around the minor flaws.

I used this product to cut 12 sheets of T-111 it handled the 4x8 sheets great no problem the directions to put it togeather were not so great i had to do guess work, and had to twist the stand to get the holes to line up right but after that its a great saw for home use!!!

I love this saw very versitile. Changing blades a snap I do suggest getting top extensions though.

This is my first stationary table saw and its an awesome tool. I bought a sliding RA saw that is good too but this table saw beats that for versatility! I used it for laying laminate in my bathroom and I had both saws setup but ended up using the table saw mostly. I bought the HF base legs but had to drill my own holes as it is not setup for this saw. Make sure you get the right base as only one of them will work. The fence doesn't square up every time either. You have to check it closely for critical cuts. Overall a great value and I highly recommend this saw!

The fence and guide can be used to cut straight but extra time is involved in the set up.

Like most people I did a lot of research before purchasing this tablesaw and after spending 35 years in a hardware retail environment I've come to know first hand that you do get what you pay for. Knowing that I was not purchasing a tablesaw that was built for a cabinet maker I was pleased with the overall quality of this saw.
A common concern stated in reviews of this saw is the fit or lack of it of the mitre guage in the channels making it hard to make an accurate cut. Try this for a quick and cheap fix, wrap the bar of the mitre guage ( the piece that rides in the channel) with one or two layers of duct tape. I tried this and it worked great, no movement in the guage at all. Make sure you follow the contour of the bar with the tape. It might or might not work for you but the cheap price of the duct tape makes it worth a try.

After years of using a 7-1/4" sidewinder, I decided I could really use a table saw for the longer cuts, like panels and door edges. This saw was fairly easy to set up. It ships without a stand, which is fine cuz I'm keeping it on a shelf and set it up on horses. It's fairly lightweight.

Instructions are good. I set it up and do use the blade guard and anti-kickback pawls. The pawls can scratch the wood, so put the pretty side down. The blade cuts very smooth on either side. The guide does need to be squared up with your own square, and I measured the distance from the edge of the blade to the guide for accuracy. You can set the guide for up to a 13" wide cut. The guide locks firmly into place. Perhaps the reviewer who found it wobbly didn't notice the tension adjustment screw on top.

It does make a lot of sawdust (duh--it's a saw). Hooking up a shop vac decreases the dust by about 40-50%. Still have a mess to clean up. I like my new toy. For a die-hard DIYer it's fine. (It does look suspiciously like the Skil)
