Not to be comparerd to a wet-saw where you put a weight smoke a cig and vola! after you return for the price. Will do the occational job cutting 16, 14, 11 ga square tube projects at home.

For around the house or farm use this is a good machine. It may not be as powerful as some of the brand name machines, but it does the job and in my estimation does so fairly well. It hasn't given me any problems with the stock that I cut which is mostly 1' X 3/4" solid or less. I like it and would buy another. I wouldn't force it since that will eventually cause problems with just about any machine. Heat build up is the enemy - cuts fine if you use it without forcing the work.

This is a good saw for the money, have cut 3" channel with it and it's done a decent job just be patient with it as the supplied blade is not the best but works just need a good chop saw blade like a norton brand and you have a good saw.

I have owned one of these saws fow over ten years. I build light airplane trailers, and use this saw exclusively to cut all the steel. It is not made to horse through thick steel in seconds. Take your time, and if the steel is really thick, stop half way through and go get a cup of coffee while it cools down. It's known in the industry as a duty cycle. Exceed it and kill your tool. This tool has a light duty cycle. Respect it, and your tool will last for a long time, and cut thousands of pieces of steel. If your in a hurry and want to zip through thick steel, spend three times the price of this saw for one with a heavy duty cycle. And if you intend to put your new saw out on the curb, please give me a call and let me know where to pick it up.

I have had this saw for years and built dozens of projects with it. Treat it with some common sense and it will give you good service. It has been my experience as a maintence man for the last 40 years that any tool can be torn up if you aren't careful or it is not used properly.

This saw payed for itself after the first use! I was doing a small remodel job and thought I could cut 2x4 steel studs with a 4 1/2" grinder w/ cutoff wheels. Wrong! This Cut-Off Saw not only did the job in a fraction of the time, but the cuts were perfectly straight! The blade that comes with the unit is not the greatest, but then again, you have to expect that! It's not a Mercedez Benz! It's an inexpensive tool, worthy of doing small jobs nicely! Plus, if you buy the extended warranty, you're good to go for 2 years! Let's start cutting!!!

I am a welder and used this saw for building a metal awning and it is worth every dollar i spent for this saw i would recomend this to any welder.

I bought this for a go kart project that cuts #14 guage steel just fine. I bought some of the Harbor Freight cut off wheels and they work just as well as the name brand ones.

Good machine at a great price. The blade says for metal but that's baloney! It's a masonry blade. Buy this machine then go to your local hardware store and buy a real metal cutting blade and you will be happy.

Its a good saw. Not the best, but you wont get that for $60. Ive had mine for 3 years now and it still cuts fines. Im cutting VERY heavy material. .065 to 1/2 steel. Couple things to note to keep it alive....the motor is NOT protected. Make sure to blow out the fins regularly. And the brushes wear quick cause they get stuck when the motor gets hot. Then the brushed do not wear evenly. So, DO NOT sit and hold the saw on for 3-4 minutes. This will inevitably kill any saw. Not just this one. I've build sooooo many projects with this saw and it keeps going. Its a goo saw if you take care of it.
