of dictionaries &/or other reference books. It is just one more thing to help further the image that it IS a book and not really an aluminium safe inside.
The inside has decent room for storage of some important papers, your wallet, keys, boot up discs for your computer, family pictures, etc. The lock is a 3 digit combo. You can change it simply and quickly by following the enclosed intructions. A well executed, Form meets Function, hidden safe.
One minor note, it is sturdy and well made. Though. I am pretty sure a large crowbar, tire iron, or similarly solid tool would be able to pry the lid off the safe. All in all though, great concept, very good design and excecution to keep people from knowing or seeing things you don't want them to. :D

I have had mine for 6 yrs and still looks new. I used it daily. Take it to pick up my medicine so nosy ppl don't know what I have. I think its great. I would buy another but I don't need it since mine still looks and performs like new. You will not regret this buy. Metal box would have to use big tools to tear it up and gain entry.

I have had mine for 8 yrs and everyone wants to know where I got it. I still looks new and I use it every day. I keep my medicine in to away from theives. This box can not be pried open easily but with big tools it can be breached. You get what you pay for but it serves my purpose extremely well. I am getting one for a friend who just had her meds stolen by a "friend" You can change you code when ever you need to. VERY STURDY.

I wanted just a less obvious spot for a few things. Never intended it as a impenetrable safe. Fits in good with some of my other engineering reference books, so it's inconspicuous and unlikely that anyone would select it. Kind of perfect for the "hide in plain site" type of thing I was looking for.
For the price, does exactly what I wanted.
Marked one star down as the tumblers are NOT very smooth and occasionally you have to wiggle/twist things to get it to release.

i transport my meds in it,by law it has to be in a lock box.its the right size .

I've had mine about 5 years now, no problems at all! Blends in well on my book shelf! I keep a couple bottles of back up Whiskey in mine!! LOL

I repainted mine to say "Readers Digest MOBY D|cK". Works just fine for the price. (Ps: hf website wouldnt let me use the book title so i improvised...)

This is just what I wanted and a great deal. I'm an engineer, so it fits in well with a bunch of engineer type books. Sure the lock may not be the strongest, but it does blend in well on the bookshelf and it has a large storage area. Looks like a good place to stash the kid's handheld electronic games when they are being used too much.
