Don't buy it. It can't really bend anything properly. I bought it to see how it worked, and it was junk. It may work if you are in a bind, but to get a professional looking bend, and not leave dents all over the tube, pay a little more and get the two handled type.

I wanted to bend 1/2" diameter thin wall (0.035") aluminum tubing. I mounted this bender on a metal backplate, loaded the tubing into the bender and started the bend. The handle snapped off this thing before the tubing even began to bend.

If it won't bend aluminum without breaking, then there is no way it will bend copper, much less stainless steel tubing without breaking, even though the product description says it is capable of doing so. Maybe it would be capable of bending annealed tubing, but I doubt that also.

This thing is made of pot metal, so will not withstand any appreciable stress. I would not recommend it for bending tubing of any kind. Do not waste yout time and money on this. HFT should take it off the market.

This tool broke before first use on type L copper pipe! I can bend this stuff with my hands but the retaining notch broke off from a manufacturer defect.
Avoid this piece of garbage and get a real bender or make one on your own out of wood scraps!
