for the price , this light system is very versitale! It can be mounted by suction cup feet either horizontaly or verticaly for high flow areas like under waterfalls, mounted to fountain head masts to produce a lovely sparkeling water drop effect or mounted to supplied base box for infinite range of angles for that perfect aim of the spotlight. just fill the base box with sand or gravel to fully stabilize the light. I liked it so much that i ended up buying 6 of them for my pond and waterfalls. i removed the power supplies that came with them and bought aone with enough wattage to power them all for same transformer so only have one plug in to power them all. works great and so far no problems , waiting to see how long the bulbs last, but they seem to like any lowvoltage haligon, so east to replace!

ok, for those of you that have had leaking lights, take the O-ring out and grease it heavily with vaseline. These things are as good as the expensive ones, and I've tried a lot of them. Yes bulbs burn out often- looking for an LED replacement

Works well to light small fountain. Transformer configuration gets in the way of other connections at outlet box. A lower profile or in-line transformer would make it easier to connect with other pumps and lights.

Purchased this light for our 14' above ground pool. Tried all colored lenses, the green seemed to work best. Not as bright as I hoped it would be, but still not bad. I zip tied it to the water inlet/outlet of the pool, suction cups are useless in this application. Planning on adding a second one for a bit more light.

I have found that if you take light apart, and apply clear water type silicone on rubber gasket and around edge of lens ,and let it dry they will last longer. Itake my fountion in in the winter and mine have lasted 2 to 3 seasons.

I use this light in my small pond. I've gone through 3 lights in six years because of water damage. What I ended up doing was to apply silicone to the electrical connection inside the until as well as around the rubber seal, the lense and the cover to create a "waterproof seal".

REALLY NICE UNDERWATER LIGHT.ESPECIALLY AT [$]. THE BULB COSTS ALMOST THAT. UNFORTUNATELY, IT DOESN'T STAY WATER TIGHT FOR MORE THAN 3 MOS. I HAVE HAD 3 OF THESE.

I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL OF THESE. FOR THE PRICE THEY ARE A GOOD DEAL. EASY TO USE AND NICE , BRIGHT LIGHT AS DESCRIBED. UNFORTUNATELY, THE COVER IS SCREW ON WITH RUBBER SEAL UNDERNEATH AS A CANNING JAR. THE SEAL FADES IN SEVERAL MONTHS EVEN IF YOU NEVER UNSCREW CAP THE WATER GETS INTO THE LENS TOUCHING THE BULB AND WIRING. SO YOU CAN FIGURE OUT THE REST. AND IF YOU ARE ABLE TO SAVE IT AS IT STARTS, THE BULB PRONGS WILL HAVE RUSTED AND COSTS ABOUT THE SAME AS THE WHOLE UNIT. BUT, FOR THE PRICE, YOU CANNOT BEAT THE LIGHT IT PRODUCES.

I've been using 12 of these lights in a pond and stream for a few years and on average have to replace 3-4 annually because the seal failed and water corroded the inside fixture that the light plugs into. They get hot and the lenses melt even underwater causing another failure. Lights need to be replaced in working lights at least once a year(about 2/3 the cost of a new light). Still I continue to use them because ther're inexpensive compared to other underwater lights. They are OK if you don't mind buying new ones.Also buy a timer or photosensor switch otherwise the only way to turn them off and on is to plug and unplug them.
