It went up OK. It lasted just over 3 weeks! Make sure base is level or everything will be out of kilter as you assemble. Mine looked and seemed great for a week, then wind began blowing out panels. Put them in, then use silicone around the edges to make them stay put. I didn't but it didn't matter because two weeks later wind flattened it, breaking or bending nearly every component. It's junk now. Count the frame as temporary just holding everything in place so you can brace, cross brace, and anchor it. Otherwise it is $600+ down the drain. Harbor Freight doesn't stand behind it.

I bought my kit in 2010. I was not satisfied with the bolts sliding into the open ends of the stock, it didn't seem that sturdy. I took and added extra 10mm bolts from the hardware store and metal plumbers tape (the kind with holes every 1/2") so that I could put 2 bolts in the ends of the stock and tighten them everywhere they slide into open metal ends. This means that 2 nuts and bolts would have to loosen to pull out, since you can't stretch metal tape. My greenhouse has seen 70 MPH gusts and 2 feet of wet snow and ice, no problem. I took self tapping sheet metal screws and CAREFULLY attached each plastic panel in the middle to the small metal struts and to the top and bottom of the thin aluminum frame. I used small 90 degree shelf hangers and 3/4" EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing, thin walled conduit, you could use 1/2" too) to create 3 struts across the width of the greenhouse between the tops of the walls. I added 1 at each end by using a longer bolt and flattening the EMT in a vise and drilling it. The structure is very strong now, since the struts spread top weight evenly to the walls instead of pushing them apart. I also bolted EMT to the tops of the greenhouse ends using longer 10mm bolts, there is plenty of rail space available and this adds extra structural rigidity (especially over the doors, where I added several). I put some extra bolts in the rails just in case I wanted to add a fan later but never have. The foundation is 4"x 6" ground contact pressure treated lumber, I used screws and washers to fasten the light steel frame to this. This frame puts the metal frame just below ground level and keeps the unit higher, I am very tall (so are my plants). I put expanded metal lath (from the hardware store, used for the backing in concrete stucco) on the ground in the hole before I set the frame in and back filled with pea gravel. It costs about $5 for a 4" x 8" sheet, it will keep the critters out (wear gloves). All this added about a day and $100 in materials to my project. I have used it for a few years now and I am very glad I put the thought into it BEFORE I assembled it. In short, nuts, bolts, and hardware are cheap, but strong (just like HFT shoppers). I'm sure that you can google other peoples projects for similar pictures.

I purchased this greenhouse in January 2012. No problems so far. It took me several days to assemble but I am retired so no hurry. Reminded me of a giant Erector set. Most important that you get the bottom frame flat and square. Take time to do this and you should have no problems. A second pair of hands would be usefull but not absolutely necessary. I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in gardening. I would not recommend the automatic vent openers. I have gone through 6 of these and only have 2 that still work.

I live in southern Calif where we get strong "Santa Ana" winds from time to time, so I was nervous about it holding up - plus we get extremely hot weather. I bought this unit and installed it in fall of 2010 and while the installation instructions were poorly written, the actual physical unit has stood the test of time extremely well. No blown out panels (and yes we HAVE had very high winds) or other problems others have described. I did not used any fastners other than what was supplied. No liquid nails, adhesives, re-enforcements, etc used. For the money this unit has been excellent!! Only thing I would like to see added in manufacturing would be supports included to attach a ventilation fan.

I live in the Desert, HOT & very windy. I planted my green house in a trench with 2 X 8 planks screwed to the base. I purchased 2 extra bags of clips & 8 tubes of outdoor silicone caulk. Every panel is caulked in place as are the clips also caulked in place. I put power in the house as I have an evaporative cooler and electric heater on thermostats. I bought and returned the self opening vent contraptions, and eventaully screwed down the vents. My cooler even on the hottest days keeps the unit at 85 degrees and the little electric heater in the winter keeps it at 45 degrees which is adequate. I hired workers to Jack hammer the calache to a depth of 5 feet and filled the sides with good planting mix. I covered the top and 1/2 of the sides with shade cloth which is siliconed & wired from the base over the top to the base at every strut. I have had my house for 1 1/2 years and it works great for my 6 avacado trees and 3 lemon trees. I am considering another house. This unit is well worth the price. Las Vegas has 60+ MPH winds and I've not lost a single panel, nor has the house colapsed.

Assembled one greenhouse by myself in about 16 hours. On-line directions are better than the printed ones that come with the unit. Liked it so much I added a second 10x12 to the first one. I'm hoping to use it 10 to 11 months of the year.

Take the time to reinforce things and it is great. I have 3 of them put together back to back. Have doors on both ends. Have chains in the middle of each on to keep it from bowing out. I have 30 orchids hanging from the roof in clay pots. And that is heavy.
I got all of these on sale one at a time. Liked then so got anoth one and added it on. Husband says 3 is the limit because no more room left.
If I had more room I'd add another one.

I waited 2 years to write this review. I got this greenhouse on sale, and picked up in store. I did get the raising vents on the top, on some it's an option.

Anyway, the directions for installation were of no use, really. I researched online and used a combination of methods that others have used to install. I did NOT bury any of the metal in the ground. I actually elevated, and then built a support up to the base. Squaring the unit it paramount, before doing anything else. It's easy from there.

I did buy some poly that I lined the building with. Before it was a little airy, but with the heat seal lining (plastic roll from the hardware store, medium thickness) it's awesome and have had no air leaks since. I also put the liner over the entrance and cut it right down the middle, like you're entering a meat locker.

I also built a platform floor inside the building. It's level with the entrance and makes half the difference in it's use. Pea pebbles are the actual base, and if you don't want critters inside, then put chicken wire on the ground before the pea pebbles.

I love mine, can't beat the deal, I would buy it over again. They need to revise the instructions.

I don't know where the other reviews came from. I put these together for a living and this is by far a superior product ! Most likely problems came from inexperience!
