Works as advertised. I figure it's costing me .54 cents to refill a propane bottle verses $2 to $3 to buy a new one. Easy to use and well worth the money.

works ok. Only get a 50% fill, unless I set the tank in the sun and put the 1lb in the freezer. It will pay for itself if you use 1 pound cylinders a lot.

I use this to refill 1 lb propane cylinders for appliances like lanterns, portable heaters and camp stoves. It works great. This has saved me a ton of money over the years.


Make sure to check the o ring a couple times a year. It will eventually dry rot. I've replaced my o ring 3 times in 7 years.


Never use this refill adapter if the outdoor temperature is over 80 degrees F. You could overfill your cylinder. An overfilled cylinder will cause the appliance hooked to it to spit liquid propane and could cause a fire or injury.


If it's cold outside you can put the 20 lb tank in a heated garage or outbuilding overnight to warm up before refilling your small cylinders. Never put any propane tank in your house for safety reasons.

I use this to refill propane cylinders for my Buddy Heater, grill, and lanterns. It works great! Just make sure the big tank is room temp and the small empty tank is chilled. I use a kitchen scale to make sure the tanks are filled, but not over filled.

i have a old tank that they will not refill anymore and uses the old style connector so i cant use it with my new grill, anyway its full so i bout this to refill my little bottles and then use the little bottles to refill my grill tank when its empty. alittle time consuming but it beats having to buy a new bottle when i got a old full one to refill with.

The 1 lber tanks tend to leak if you don't use them quickly. I attach a torch, lantern, or other appliance and it seems to keep them filled quite awhile.

This adapter works really well if you chill the 1-lb propane bottle in the freezer before filling. It takes less than a minute to fully transfer the fuel.

I wish this adapter had a handwheel female connector to tighten on to the 20-lb tank's valve. That would be easier to use than this left-hand-threaded male connector, which tends to loosen as I thread the 1-lb bottle on its right-hand-threaded connector.
