I've been using one of these gauges for about a year now on my RV. Works as advertised, nice to know how much gas left before you leave on a trip. Going to buy several more for my other bottle, grill, cooker.

Fred Dennis, You must turn the propane cylinder on very very slowly and listen for the ball inside to ting. If you turn it on fast sometimes it works and most of the time it does not. This is a common mistake many people make with their tanks. No biggie though, just shut it off and reopen it again. This could be the reason for your problem.

I was a little concerned about buying this based on the other review, but I'm happy to say that the gauge does work. I connected it to a not completely full tank on my weber grill and the gauge read accordingly. Now that I can actually see how much gas is in the tank, I plan to use it until the tank is empty and see if the gauge reports that as well.





Giving it 4 stars because I haven't had it long enough to know if it'll last over the long haul.

Did it's job for a while til the UV rays got turn knob and came right off. Found at a depot type store for $7.00 less than HF...

I own one of these and it does work as promised. However, if you happen to forget to close the tank valve after use you will most likely find an empty propane tank the next time you go to fire up the grill like I did. I lost a full tank of fuel after forgeting to turn off the tank after use which never happened prior to using this device.

I'll make it quick and simple. I bought one of these and put it on my fresh new propane tank and it did not register poop.





I give this three stars for ease of opersation.





I am hoping that it is somehow operator error so I can give it 5 stars and go get another one.





What scares me is that it doesn't take rocket science to install one of these so what could I have done wrong???

Cannot be tightened enough to stop audible and tangible evidence of leaking at connections. I hear it, smell it, and feel the leaking on my hand.

Clearly defective design of seals and other materials.

I bought one to use on external tanksfor my rv. Unfortunately, hooked everything up and gauge said I was empty on a full tank.

I wonder if these work in the cold, freezing weather?

I will exchange and try again, maybe the one I bought is defective.
