I purchased this after Irene to supplement a 2" semi trash pump after Irene. Seams a 3" pump moves about 75-80% more water minute than a 2" pump. I pumped out about 15 buildings after Sandy with this one. After pumping out standing water it is possible to determine the extent of damage, plus reduce further damage. This pump saved easily 10 homes that would have been flooded much longer. I pumped out 1000 sf buildings with 24-30" of water in under an hour to just over an hour, to about 2.5" depth.

Buy this trash pump. I used it at my jobsite to fill up my 4000 gallon
Water truck and it fill it in less than 40 minutes. That was pumping uphill
40 feet! Anyways great pump just wish they gave you extra caps

I own A Sealcoating Co. and use this pump to spray driveway & parking lots. Plenty of power and lots of life . I have been using this pump for a half a season so far and I will update you next year to let you know how it is doing. 12/1/12

I bought this pump to clean the cover of my pool from winter's accumulation of debris, it worked perfectly and did the job in minutes that used to take hours. Leaves, twigs, 'beanie copters', etc all went thru with no problem. A very good pump for the money. I've seen some complaints that Harbor Freight doesn't sell the hoses, this is true but others do, so buy this pump and then get your hoses elsewhere. It WOULD be nice if HF sold the hoses, though. This unit comes with a very nice plated steel strainer that screws on to standard 3" hose threads.

IT LOOKS GOOD BUT IT'S OF NO USE WITHOUT THE HOSES. HOSES DO NOT COME WITH THE UNIT AND WORSE YET H. F. DOES NOT SELL THEM....LEAVES YOU STUCK....CUST SERV TOLD ME TO GET HOSES ANOTHER STORE BUT THEY NOBODY SELLS THEM THAT SIZE... SORRY BUT IF H.F. SELLS THE MACHINE THEY SHOULD SELL THE ACCESSORIES TOO!

Bought this pump about 4 months ago. We serviced it everything the way it should be. We did not use the pump until last night for the first time. It ran for about 10 minutes and locked up. The oil is full of gas and the pump is shot. Called the store the manager said its been past 90 days so no refund, he would not even exchange it for another pump. As far as I am concerned the pump is junk and Harbor Freight just lost all my companies future business. JUNK!!!!

Comes without suction hose even though it says it does. useless with no suction hose, wich HF does not sell
