3 light setting is great & it does throw off a lot of light. I's not a flashlight, it's a lantern & a great one at that.

Nice light, bright, and doesn't weigh a lot. Replacing an old heavy rechargable, this one has more than 1 led, for sure.

Used it on camping trip. It's somewhat fragile, don't let the kids crank it, the first one my 5 year old broke the handle we replaced it and second one is great he knows now Dad will crank it and he can carry it. If your a prepper and are gentle this gives alot of light in a dark woods. In the tent a 10' X 20' was pitch dark I cranked this up and it lite the tent up and we also used it to go to the bathroom outside at night. It is not a Mag lite it is a plastic hand cranked latern. I am thinking of buying one or two more for prep'n.

I never give ANYTHING a 5-star rating, so 4 is as good as it gets.

I'm a movie-guy, and once I saw the 2010 movie "Vanishing on 10th St.", I knew I needed something like this, that gives 360-degree light, cheap price, lightweight, and Hand-Crank rechargeable, so when the World Ends, it'll keep on working. SOLAR wouldnt work. Hand-Crank is the way to go.

The pictures above are a little mis-leading...

There's a COMPASS on the top of the lantern in the pics, but mine wasnt made with one. Wouldda been great to also have that, but light wouldnt shine on it up there, so it'd be useless anyway....

I charged mine with the hand crank for a few minutes, and it says you'll get 10 minutes of Light on the HIGH-SETTING, for charging for 1-minute. I got over an HOUR of light on the High-Setting.

AWESOME.

Also great for Camping, not JUST the END OF THE WORLD.

They had two of these in the store with the crank handle broken off right on the shelf. Neat lantern but cheap crank handle.

The crank mechanism disengages intermittently.This means you can not continue charging the batteries.The entire crank mechanism looks poorly designed and inadequate for normal use.

When we first tried the lanten, I was thrilled as it produced a bright light after very little cranking. I put it away in our emergency closet until we put up the Christmas decorations a few months later. I attempted to turn on the latern, but the rubber button collapsed into the housing and wouldn't toun on. After probing inside with my finger, the light came on, surprisingly very bright...so I was still thrilled with the lantern for the money.





As I put the lantern away, decided to crank it a few times, to charge it again...and thehandle broke off in my fingers. I checked the warranty...90 days after purchase.





It's a great little lantern, three different settings of brightness, but cheaply constructed. Looking at the broken crank, it's obvious this product isn't made to be durable. I wouldn't count on this product in a serious situation.
