3-1/16" Stainless Steel Folding Knife

My girlfriend spotted this value and I bought one for myself at the next HF stop. I noticed right away the lock was not moving behind the blade to the correct position. Some light work with a high speed grinder took enough off the base of the blade to allow the lock to position correctly. True of all three knives I have used closely. You only need to unscrew the main pivot with a #10 torx to remove the blade for tuning the fit. I recommend replacing the nylon washers with 1/4" brass washers. This makes the action very smooth and gets better with use. It even has a nub on the lock that mates on the blade when closed to hold it in the closed position. Blade sharpens very nicely with minimum effort. Have two now and my get a third or fourth at the sale price of four singles.

I bought this for my girlfriend as I'm a firm believer that everyone should have a decent knife on their person; never know when and for what you'll need one. Well, Ive had different knives over the years. I had a decent frame lock knife I liked that my ex wife lost. I replaced it with a Gerber spring assist knife. I got to tell you when I bought my GF this knife, I just figured "Oh Ill be getting her a knife I can afford that will generally do what she mneeds it for...whatever that may be. Well she opens it up and after getting to feel it and use it myself...I wanted one of my own. So I went out and bought it. The blade is very strong and the knife is extremely well built. Ide reccomend this to ANYONE.

Had to get this when I found it at Harbor Freight. I'm a lefty--no problem with one-handed operation. As a professional cook, I use knives every day and have to say this appears to be a good quality blade for most uses, culinary aside, although I've used it in a pinch when traveling and finding you need a knife in the hotel room for cutting up appetizers we bring along. Get one; even if it lasts only a year, it paid for itself easily. When it's sharp, it cuts as well as my Wustoff and Gerber blades.

First time I saw this at the store, it was a good price compared to ones close to $40 or more. Frame is solid and tight no sloppiness in workmanship (even for an Asin product)even locks tight. I keep one in my backpack for camping, and one for around for self protection in the city.

Good knife for the price. Once you get used to opening it, it becomes more natural feeling. It's more difficult to open left handed because of the placement of the belt clip. Solid construction throughout. Does not feature a blade lock when closed, but holds pretty well without. I haven't had it open accidently on me. Probably won't be your EDC (every day carry), but a welcome addition to any glove box or tool bag.

stays sharp and has a good weight and feel to it

The knife was fairly sharp out of the box. There is no wobble in the blade, and the opening of the knife is easily accomplished with one hand. The only two issues I have with this knife is the weight and the clip is mounted a little low on the knife. This leaves about an inch or so of the knife exposed when I have it clipped in my pocket.

This is a great knife for the price.

i use this on a daily basis im not to sure why alot of the reviews are not liking the weight i love heavier knives compared to light weight its strong durable and cheap feels good in your hands if anyone is looking for a good sharp cheap knife i highly recommend this one

Great value for the money. Feels real robust and heavy duty. No wobble at all. Doesn't come very sharp but with minimal honing will get real sharp. Clip is evtremely stiff and hard to use. Wish it can with a small sheath. Well worthwhile to keep in the car for lightweight duty or as an EDC if that's all you can afford. If on sale it's an especially good deal.

I bought my first one for the regular price and the last two when they were on sale since I like it a lot. This along with my mini Cabella multitool and guidesman Swiss army knife knock off are a part of my EDC items used on a daily basis. I hope Gordon decides to make a multitool and a Swiss knock off in the future with harbor freight selling them, I'd like to buy them in the future if they do. The build quality is far superior on these Gordon knives.

The knife is very solid and feels very sturdy in the hand when used. The build quality is great except for the slightly uneven grind on one of my knives which I fixed with the harbor freight 4-Sided Diamond Hone Block Diamond Life - item#92867 and a leather strop. The knife can take and hold a very sharp hair shaving edge and I still use the first knife for over a year but have the other two in case I lose it.

I wish it was made more than an ambidextrous opening, I wish the handle had holes so I could mount the clip for a left hand use, carry, and draw so I could carry a pair of these for my EDC. It's very heavy for a knife of it's size and the lanyard hold isn't where I'd like it closer to the middle and down would be highly preferred. The knife doesn't open as easily as my other tactical folders from cold steel, gerber, or benchmade but then it didn't cost as high as them either. I didn't like the default blade grind angle and redone mine to 20 degrees on all three of them. A few refinements would make this a five star item easily.

Gordon knives are on the same quality as Cold Steel and Gerbers $20-40 knives at the fraction of the cost. There are better knives but you have to pay several times more for a slight improvement. I highly recommend this knife, the diamond honing block, and 8" Hunting/Survival Knife item#90714 which I own all three. I have knives and sharpeners that are much higher in price to all three of these but these are all good quality items for their price range, in fact I can't name another product at their price that can beat them but you may need to redo the blade profiles for the knives for a higher satisfaction level.
