Used this set up for an indoor Sling Hoist. I did change the rope to a 5/16" soft nylon rope because the yellow 1/4" cut into my hands. Combined with a Harbor Freight purple tow strap this block and tackle made a wonderful Play Sling. The slight creaking the pulleys make even adds to the "evil fun" aspect! Nice product! Other units with basically same parts cost well over $150!

Not a big hunter but needed something for annual use for 1 or 2 animals. I hoisted a my friends 185# mule deer. I'd pay the price just for the gambrel. You can always add different ropes and pulleys.

Gambrel and hoist held firm overnight and through the gutting and butchering the next day. Great product for the price.

Great for deer and uses around the garage. Metal brackets and wheels. Breakdown gambrel has some advantages and price is good. Cant really go wrong for the price.

FEW ITEMS AT HARBOR FREIGHT ARE WORTH THE PURCHASE PRICE. GLOVES ARE OKAY - TOOLS ARE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!

Good luck hoisting anything over 75-100#. The 2 pulleys in each block are rough castings that ride on a common 3/16th steel shaft with no bearings or even washers between them. the pulleys scrape against each other and screach with obvious friction when you're lifting anything more than about 50#- I knocked the blocks apart and added 3 washers between the side cheeks and also the pulleys which made the hoist somewhat better for my 125# load-which was barely doable but hardly easy. I cant imagine lifting much more than that. Maybe the 2 ton chain fall will do the job better.
