I use this product to connect 4 - 45 watt kits. I have 6 batteries all in parallel(- to - to - , + to + to +). My entire solar setup is from HF and seems to be doing great.
I will install the other 3 kits next week. I plan on running my frig(counter-top), a compressor and a few other items, not all at the same time.

Pretty simple, just plug in your panels and hook it up. There are 8 ports surrounding the outside of the device, which allows you to plug in either 8 of the 15 watt solar panels or 8 of the 45 watt solar panel kits. There is a single port on the bottom of the device, this port is the output, which has a bump surrounding it, the other input ports are completely flat. The device comes with a connector that has two leads on one side(+&-), and the standard solar panel connector on the other.

On the device I purchased two of the connection ports were a little difficult to plug in to, but since I dont unplug my panels everyday it wasn't a major drawback. The information on the package is straighforward, using arrows to indicate the input and the output of the device.

In response to the other comments, the diagram on the package is not difficult to understand at all...and this device is merely a connection, the kit controller itself is what you should be worrying about.
(I am assuming you are talking about the 45 watt solar panel kit)

I have searched out solor power and have found a lot of stuff out there but the cost adds up fast. This equipment works, but Harbor freight needs to give you better instructions so everyone can understand how to use this stuff. They give you a diagram which is diffucult to understand.

A previous reviewer mentioned that there were no instructions, only a diagram. Mine had no information other than that on the packaging. I would like to know whether or not the kit supplied controller can be used, if so how many panels can it support, etc.
