Happy I bought the bigger predator than the 3200 watt version. Loud but is worth all the additional power and load capabilities. Grounded straight to my house gas pipe and ran independent cords instead of "interlocking" my house breaker box. Not sure if I trust it to run my new 55" LED flatscreen but runs everything else like a champ including 35 gallon air compressor.

Lost power for twelve days, hooked this generator up through my electrical panel and was able to run my entire house, everything, for 12 days straight 24 hours, change the oil every 20 hours, shut down refueled and started up and ran non-stop...; good unit plenty of voltage, (power)

Brought generation in preparation for hurricane Sandy....Lost power for 6 days, ran at least 12hr every day works like a cham.

starts easy, runs strong. we lost power for 22 hrs during Sandy and it ran fine the entire time. Powered about 1500-2000 watts continuously.
It is noisy. But i ran it outside in a shed with the exhaust directed out the door and couldnt really hear it inside the house.

I bought this one in 2008 for Hurricane Ike, in Houston, Tx. only difference mine is blue paint. Ran it 24hrs a day for 17days.
Shut it down every 12hrs for fuel and oil check.
I have it wired to my breaker box. Ran everything in my house except central AC. For that you need at least 8000watt. I now have a single room emergency window AC. This unit will handle it.
I kept a digital volt meter in a house recepticle. Never droped below 112vac.
After first oil change the, low oil switch stuck. It wouldnt start.Solved it by intalling an on/off toggle switch in the oil switch line. After it starts I turn it back on. Stays running so the oil switch is working. I talked with a small engine repair. I was told that many of any brand have done this. He usually leaves them disconected. You should check the oil level at every fueling anyway.
I have this set up in a metal shed next to my breaker box. I just open the door and have a fan to blow exhaust away. Dont run this close to any open windows or house doors though.
Im so pleased with the service. Im debating buying the larger 8000watt HF one. The electric start is a plus, but it rope starts easy also.
I have the HF solar charger for the battery. Starts every time once a month.
I have heard quieter generators, but at twice the cost. Mine has been a good investment.
BTW, The engine repairman told me. The motor is a copy of a brand I cant mention here.
