I'm and engineer and hobbiest. I loose pliers, but never wore any out. These are great.

I used to pay $20 for EACH plier when I was doing professional technical work and bought nothing but brand names.

They were no better than these, except the teeth fit together better, because they apparently went through extra grinding steps. But if you're holding something in the jaws, how the teeth fit together when the jaws are closed is of no importance.

On very old Harbor Frieght pliers, the vinyl coating may come loose - Just put a dab of superglue on the handles, slide the vinyl back on, and they're good for another 5 years.

I dismantle computers for recycling as a hobby and have found these tools to be very useful. I'm not gentle with the way I use them. They are used hard then tossed into my tool bag when I'm through but they stand up to the use and abuse. For the price these tools are great.

I have bought 3 of these sets because my friends "borrowed" 2 of them! They are made very well and get the job done. I have seen other sets for much more and they are the same quality.

The quality of the precision pliers is great. They are made from a nice hard steel that don't bend or flex. The cutters are sharpe and the handles are nice. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is due to the spring style The springs are nothing more then thin steel strips ran down each handle. They are not welded or bonded to the pliers in anyway except by the rubber handles. One of mine was broke when I recieved them. Other then that tiny flaw, They are nice. Well worth the price !

machining and alignment of cutting and squeezing surfaces is surprisingly good considering the price,cutting edges stay sharp if used properly.

I got this set. The tools are very low quality. The tips have hangover metal. The ridges on the clamp part are very sloppy and the tools do not even squeeze together cleanly. [$] pliers from [@] (japanese cheapy goods store) are much higher quality and I recommend those over these.
