this system works great for watering all your deck and patio pots. couple with an automatic timer for worry free pots. needs snall plastic hose clamps to keep the ends from popping off. check the system every spring for broken fitrtings, and offyou go. I've had this for 7+ years and it makes the patyio look great.

First; get rid of the siphon hose connector, use a rain barrel, cheeper in the long run. Next get some inline restrictors (valves), the type used with aquariums works great and they aren't expensive. You will want the metal type, better with the UV rays, and you will need them to provide proper water flow. I am using 45 drip nozzles into 28 containers, so far it is working better than I had hoped for. It will take some adjustments to get the proper flow, but you should be happy with the outcome.

This product does not work per the manual instructions. The 1/4 inch tube cannot be teed off many times and expected to maintain system pressure at the ends - definately not for 14 tees, but maybe 2 tees. My system irrigates 12 planter boxes on a deck, with most planter boxes needing 2 or 3 drip nozzles. My system requires delivery with 1/2" pvc maintaining the pressure for distribution with 3 8-way adjustable outlets. This kit then has all the parts for minor distribution from the 8-way outlets and to each pot with upto 3 drip nozzles per outlet. The kit is the right price for parts, but their idea of maintaining system pressure with the 1/4" hose is a joke.

the tubing in this kit takes a little more force than most others to get the tee's and heads to go completely on, and the compression fitting on the hose adapter is a little iffy, but all together it is a fantastic kit for the price, has everything you need to put together a moderate size drip system.

People complaining about the leak have a good argument, BUT with a bit of teflon tape my system was good to go and no leaks. I am satisfied.

The leak is likely coming from the anti-syphon mechanism and is a result of too much pressure. Turning a valve down does not mean less pressure. It means less volume but still high pressure. What you need is to find the balance of volume and pressure by either using a regulator and/or abandoning the syphon altogether. As with all drip systems it should be a challenge to install the hose to fittings. That means they'll stay attached. And as with all basic drip systems, theres a limit to how many drip nozzles one can install on one bib. If you've ever worked with the more expensive drip systems (several times the cost) you"ll see that for the money this is pretty darn good. It's pretty basic. Hose, couplings and nozzles. So complaining this one isn't good is basically complaining that all drip systems aren't good. You just need to know how to set them up. I use zip ties in some areas to regulate volume on some of the shorter runs so I can manage equal water distribution to all the other nozzles. It's always a trial and error sort of thing that takes some time. After which you'll have beautiful plants and a low water bill.
Yes its true that 14 nozzles might be a stretch for one line on any drip system. Try a hose-bib splitter and two of these setups for any more than 10 nozzle setups or long runs. Heck, for the price why not.

The faucet connector leak so I put a rubber washer between the connector and faucet to fix that problem. The system can handle about 4 drip heads. It was not able to water my whole garden. So I bought 4 sprayer heads and replace it with that. It now water my whole garden.

1/4 in. tubing took some persistence to get on tees and drip heads. As with other reviewers, my beef is with the faucet connector leaking and generally wasting water. The connector failed immediately after I opened the out door faucet valve to half open. I went to the local hardware store and purchased a Plastic Sweeper Nozzle: $1.50 + tax

After cutting a bevel (more than 45 degrees with gardening shears) on a 1 foot long piece of tubing, I pushed the beveled edge from the threaded faucet side of the nozzle through the opening in the plastic shutoff ball inside the nozzle until the tip of the tubing sticking out of the nozzle tip. Using pliers , I pulled the tubing out of the nozzle tip, leaving enough tubing inside the nozzle to allow the nozzle's ball shutoff valve to pinch the tubing (flow restricting) when the valve was twisted. I squared up the beveled end of the tubing and used one of the drip kit's straight tubing connectors to join the short piece of tubing to the main run. The Drip Kit now works without water pouring on to the ground at the outdoor faucet connection.

I would not use the faucet connector, I use a timer system with a fitting that works on the irrigation tubing. I previously tried that connector and it leaked, I ended up epoxying it but not recommended. Also the tee fittings leak even if you use cable ties so I used super glue and worked great. Just be very careful or you will glue your fingers to the tubing. I use the full flow fittings as my timer runs every 6 hours for about 10 minutes and ensures that the plants are always watered.
