First of all this is a BIRD-X product which is sold everywhere with great reviews. The only negative review I have seen concerns the noise emited being too loud on the med and high setting, if you actually read the instructions this is stated in them. The quiet mode is barely audible so using it in that mode has litterly no distractions on people in the same room as the unit. The products works great. I moved out a family of Racoons from my atic in a matter of a few days and so far they have not returned.

I have used these repellers for years in my barn, other out buildings, in the attic and crawl space of our home. They are totally effective in keeping rats and mice out of those areas. In areas like the barn where they are an annoyance if you have to spend any amount of time working I have set them up with an on/off switch. I cannot recommend them highly enough.t

Because this is called Bird X and shows a bird on the box I assumed it would scare off birds. The inside instructions say it does not affect birds. So I guess that was a waste of money.

Based on reviews I purchased. It seemed like it would be a big step-up from the solar stake units. It is suppose to drive away insects, rodents , and even cats and dogs for ranges of as afar as 3500 ft. It comes with 3 settings. the larger the pest the more noise. Kept it at the meduim setting initially. Than when my son went to retrieve Xmas decorations he had a rat about run over his foot. So for the next 24 plus hours I turned it ob high which is quite loud and obnonious. Closed garage door to mute sound to neighbors, leaving partially open so rodents would be able to vacate. Didn't work still have rats so I returned. I'm going to buy two of the stake ones that run off solar power. Just hope they still have them. Used before and that worked well.
