this mustange flies as good as some of my 4or 500 buck planes, I would recomend some extra battery packs because you will want to fly it all day. Good luck and happy flying!

Very good plane.Got it and flew it out the box.Amazing speeds and handling.Would reccomend to anyone.Nice beginner plane.Medium to slow speeds, and looks beautiful in the air.I go up to the park by Imogene Gideon Elementary school.I get many compliments.AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This plane is fantastic.....with a few minor modifications. Wait for it to be on sale, then go buy a brush-less 400 motor and speed controller, stick mount and propeller. I bought this from a friend for 50 USD after he swore it wouldn't fly. Stock, it flies....barely, as long as you set all of the adjustments correctly and hand launch it. Again,it does fly stock, but understand it is very underpowered, and will virtually hang in the air at full power. I didn't adjust the weight of the plane at all, and it seemed a bit tail heavy. After proving that it could fly stock I installed the 400 brushless on a stick mount, and am running a 1300 lipo battery. All bought at a local hobby shop for about 100 USD, and now the plane is ridiculously fun. I reinforced the wings by installing bamboo skewers (light, flexible, and less costly than carbon fiber) because it moves so fast, I was afraid it would tear its own wings off. If you bought this on sale (I've seen it for 79.00 or so) you will have the fastest intermediate low wing warbird for around 180 USD. One more thing, I run stock electronics in this plane, but if you want to upgrade a little more the transmitter is compatible with futaba receivers.

I took this plane out of the box followed the directions, charged the battery and was doing tricks in no time! For [$] you can't go wrong. This is not a beginner plane I would put it at moderate but for the price it's not hard to take chances. The only warning I have is to be careful not to shave your prop while landing! This plane took right off from the ground and landed great.

I was so impressed with this plane! This is my first rc Plane and I was doing barrels rolls on day one. Harbor freight comes through yet again! Very strong, easy to fly, will buy Another one when I destroy this one.

Recieved this plane for Christmas, If I had to buy myself I WOULD!!! I have flown a trainer about 6 times. YOU NEED TO FIGURE OUT IF YOUR GONNA USE THE LANDING GEAR OR NOT,I fly in a field so opted not to use.After it's put togther 1rst thing you need to do is "CENTER" the plane....find it's CG (center of Gravity) look it up on line to get the general idea of how to do it. I used kite string nailed to my basemnent rafters hung in a loop(both ends over the nail,spaced about wing width apart) ,I put 1 "T" stick pin at the appx "CG" location on the tips of each wing.(I USED THE 2ND LINE IMPRINTED ON THE WING FROM THE FRONT) Slipped the rope's over each "T" pin and placed the battery until it was sitting level.I also "BALANCED "the props...I took a nail ,clamped it to a flat surface,the heavy side of the prop will go down...sand it with 220grit ,do this until it sit's level...sanding will cause static electricity, so after sanding I would "ground" it by placing between my copper pipe and rafter, I flew it in the above configuration and ended up moving the battery FORWARD a little,you can use soft foam to make adjustments.....it flew like a dream I WOULD RECOMEND THIS IF...IF you have a understanding of EASY ON THE STICK and have flown at some point....If I were STARTING OUT I would go with the WILD HAWK......may not be a P51 but a great plane to learn on ,and for the price it isnt bad ...or go to a Hobby store and by a trainer.

I have been into R/C for over 25+yrs and because of the mostly bad reveiws on this plane I just had to respond if you have not flown a R/C plane or have someone to help you learn to fly " DO NOT BUY THIS PLANE "!!!! It is NOT for a first time pilot . It is a GOOD plane especially for the money and anyone who has the experience to hop it up it will work very well. If you want to learn to fly on your own be ready for a few crash's(or alot) it's going to happen no way around it. I just had to comment because this plane is not at fault these people are just going about it the wrong way, The WILD HAWK is the one that make's a Great first time Plane but remember you are going to crash and this plane holds up well for a beginner learning to fly. (Sorry Iam done now lol)

Out of the box flew great with a hand launch.


Crashed a few times and only the landing gear broke, simple fix with glue.


The plane is very durable for a foamy. The one problem is the front motor mount loosened when I crashed and it looks like there is not an easy way to get in there to glue it, still flies. For the price you are not going to get an airplane as good as this one anywhere.

Hard to fly at first, take,,s some practice. changed 8x3.5 prop to 8x6in. immedeate improvement! take,s off from hard dirt or pavement no problem, but u need to make prop shaft adaptor to fit most hobby shop available prop,s. more power and run time would be nice,more experienced flyer,s already know how to make this happen but novice pilot,s might need some advice. overall I enjoy my mustang very much and highly recomend it for pilot,s with some moderate Exp.
