I have used this series of tarp on different projects needing cover/protection and have had great results. As for the other gentlemen that wrote a review based on his poor planning rather than buying the product and then building the metal frame, I would have probably put my angry energy into an article in The Handyman describing the downfalls of not waiting to build a specialty frame when I didnt have the tarp in hand. Sorry for your hard lesson. Tarps are never exact.

I purchased this tarp to stretch over my RV pad where I do most of my welding, fabrication, and general tooling around. I've long struggled with how to protect this area due to building code and finally designed a metal frame to keep the tarp tight, I estimated the tarp would only last 60 days at a time in the Phoenix desert sun and wind. The tarp held for just over 4 months and finally gave up the ghost in a violent wind storm. Along the way I did need to virtually triple the number of grommets on each edge to properly secure the tarp. Now I have a system in place to simply install a new tarp when the last one goes. Even at full price this tarp is a great value for my short-term shelter needs.

I purchased this for a makeshift carport until I could afford better.I used fence poles and 4x4's for the framework and added grommets and duct taped the outer for added strength. So far, it has held up. I put tie down straps for wind protection. It works!

Not enough grommets for a tarp this size. They should suggest a grommet kit if you're going to use as a cover for anything

I carefully planned out a shade for my rv pad, welded up a frame given the dimensions from here on the site, got the tarp, it was larger than expected and the grommet holes are anything but consistent, some are 36.5" apart, some 40" apart etc

Buy the blue tarps. I have had several of those that have lasted many years.
