250 Ft. Hose Reel Cart with Storage Shelf

Can't beat it for the price! Does the job it was intended for... Instructions were clear and assembly was pretty easy. Fairly sturdy even though it's made of plastic. Takes 15 minutes to assemble and most of that was unpacking. I do agree with reviewer "Howagood"... A rubber mallet does help ease assembly.

This hose reel appears sturdier than the Suncast model it replaced. During assembly a rubber mallet was required to solidly joint parts together, a minor inconvenience.

Used it once a day for one summer and went to attach it this year and the plastic was cracked around where the hose attaches. Water literally pours out at that joint and won't even come out the hose now. It was stored in my basement with a dry hose so no weight or cold temperatures are to blame for the failure. I had to screw it to my deck to keep it from moving while reeling hose in. Flimsy. Going to invest in a metal one now that will hopefully last.

Lower end of quality spectrum. The plastic hose connections lasted about 2 months and then had to be replaced. Two months after that the internal plastic connections started failing. I threw out after about 6 months. Might be okay for very light duty once or twice a months; not for everyday use.

I never write these reviews but I was so frustrated with this item that I couldn't hold back. Similar to what another reviewer stated, the cheap plastic heats up and the stretch tabs will cause the entire chart to fall apart. So if you're planning to use it keep in mind it needs to be used indoors. Also, the internal hose connector completely fell apart the second day after I purchased it. You then have to pull the entire thing apart and reassemble the hose bib. This is not worth the money. After this disaster I purchased another reel for $40 and it had a metal hose bib and has never leaked. I also didn't have to assemble the reel. Not worth the money.

Don't keep this thing outside if it gets over 95 degrees where you are. The cheap plastic softens in the heat anf the tabs on the various parts sart letting go and it falls apart. The final straw for me was hen I hookek it up and as I was unreeling the hose the hose coupling blew off and the reel fell out of the housing. It's sitting at the curb waiting for the garbage truck to come by.

Can't support the wieght of the 100ft hose they sell. Snaps apart when you start to pull the hose out. After a few times pulling all of the hose off the mess to fix it you will decide it's not worth it. Lost my reciept or I would take it back.

I have bought many items from HF as an Inside Club member over the years, but mostly tools and hardware type items. I have purchased a few other items from other areas and have been burnt a few times, but this one takes the cake. After my son put it together over a period of 15 to 20 minutes, I rolled up bout 100 feet of hose that was always being drug across the yard to sprinkle my lawn. I hooked up the hose that attaches the hose reel to the faucet, turned on the faucet about 1/3 open to use a sprinkler and that hose conection to the reel blew apart with very little water pressure. This baby is going back if I can locate the receipt or if I can't then it goes in the recycle bin for plastic. I have a steel hose reel for a large lawn area that I bought years back from a garden center store and it has worked well for all those years, so I would suggest that one go spend more money for one that works for more than 10 seconds on its first use.

It reels nicely, but you have to put your foot on the bottom of it to keep it from moving everywhere when you do. If you want to move it, you can't because the wheels fall off every 3ft. I woulcn't recommend it to anyone unless you don't plan on ever moving it (unless you don't mind carrying it)
