This drill really surprised me.It looks like a milwaukee.I was so impressed,I bought a 2nd 1 to get the extra battery.Actually if you think about it,a replacement battery for a popular brand,could cost as much as $40.00 or more.So for [$],I got 2 complete drills with chargers.The thing about this is,this drill works so well,I can't beleave it.It almost scares me.Either I've stumbled onto something or the big let down is yet to come.I've only used it several times.So it's definatly a time thing.

I have several. One dedicated to drilling another to driving. It cuts down on bit changes and saves time.

The major defect in this product is the charging system. I've gone through no less than five chargers in the last year. Instructions say keep on charger no more than 2-4 hours. I have had them burn up after one hour. They are cheap, under five each but what an annoyance. Most times I buy a new one and return the old one for credit.

My son said he had the same problem that he attributed to power fluctuations. The charger did better on a dedicated outlet. My solution has been to put it on a UPS line conditioner and also a timer. Unfortuneately that solution could cost you up to eighty.

Why HF doesn't spend a couple of dinero and offer a more robust charger or ideally a smart charger.

I've dropped the device good on the concrete one time... Picked it back up and still works like a charm. I have no problems with the charger. I do not over charge the battery- 3 hours tops I'll leave it charge. I've also built a 40 foot section of fence using all screws - drill was strong and held a good charge. The drill has a built in LED aimed at the drill head for handy use in dim lighting.

This is a great general purpose drill. Have owned 2 months. The chuck is tight - no wobble. Power is good. Love the led light. Need to watch the charger since it will fry a battery if forgotten. Just purchased a smart charger so that is nolonger a problem. Buy one - you'll like it.

Well last month I stopped at Harbor Frieght and went on almost a 6 hour store shopping binge to replace some old tools mainly from the home dep*t being dew*lt and milwaukee tools. I picked up this drill and am very impressed! It is just as good if not better than drills i spend a ton of money on years ago. I'm a professional contractor and swear by HFT products I laugh when I hear people complain how cheap the tools are and how they break, I have never had such a problem with anything from these guys and I think I would definitely have an upper hand on knowing this since I work 60 hour weeks with my tools thanks again Harbor Freight Tools for another awesome product that didnt burn a hole strait through my pocket!
