Through persistance and reading every catalouge page by page, I finally found a complete set of bits,etc., from Harbor Freight. Stock#'s are 60376,60375,60377,60414. Should fufill all needs.Check the #'s and you should find what you need. It took me a year!

I was facing having to rent a jack hammer to dig a tub drain but then thought of Harbor Freight and saw this one costing just a little more than a days rental of a big one. I expected it might take a couple hours to dig through 4", but it only took about an hour and this included a shallow 1" x 24" trench. Worked out especially well as I think this size hammer gives more control. I didn't buy the opt warranty because it will probably sit for over a year, but HF honored a broken drill warranty a week after expiring so thumbs up to them.

I used this breaking hammer to bust up some cermic tile and punch two 12"x12" holes through 6-10" of concrete in my bathroom floor so I could get to a messed up drainage pipe. Started the job with a diamond saw and concrete chisel, but that was completely insufficent. So when I looked at renting a jack hammer, it was going to be around $80 a day. As other have said, at that price I might as well get this breaking hammer and keep it for good. The hammer came with two bits, both worked well, and overall it performed as well as could be expected.

Another additional plus for this tool is the excellent extended warranty that came with it, full replacement for any reason within a year. And this warranty only cost $20.

While in the middle of a weekend project, I got into a situation where I needed a jack hammer to finish I called a local tool rental, $80.00 for the day + $10.00 per bit for a little more I was able purchased my own. I've ran into situations in the past where I could have surely used it but did the grunt by hand, work working harder not smarter!

I used this hammer to take a big boiler apart from inside out witch was all concret and brick and it ran about 8 hours a day in a 10 hour shift for a week stright so far and worked a lot beter then the bosh hammer i have for the price i paid you cant go wrong it is a real workhorse

This is an" SDSmax" shank demolition hammer. It is a real workhorse, but you need to know how to break up cement. I used it to break up 6 inch 5 ½ sack concrete, the hardest hard pan known to man, hard packed clay, a built in concrete spa, drill 1 5/8 inch holes 6 inches deep in concrete, and I am soon going to use it to take up an epoxy aggregate floor. The SDSmax shank is a heavier type of bit that is designed for heavier use. It is also harder to find, at first I was also upset that H.F. didn't carry replacement bits, but you can find some really good deals on [@] and elsewhere. I needed two special bits, a 1 5/8 drill bit for concrete, and a 3 inch chisel bit for taking up the aggregate floor. While I haven't done this yet, after using the hammer for everything I have so far, I am sure, this is going to be a walk in the park compared to everything else I have done. Keep the gear box lubed, lube the shank of the bit each time you use it so it doesn't freeze up in the chuck (I forgot to once, but I won't forget again), and get someone to help, because this will work you to death if you don't take rest periods.

Bought this tool a year ago with an extra set of chisles.Hammered thru ledge putting in fence postwent thru as good as the one I rented earlier.Still on the original chisles works great would buy again.

I read the reviews and was going to rent a demo hammer to do a quick job at my church. By the time I rented a hammer and the chissles I could buy this unit for $20 more. I could then take my time doing the job. This thing ripped through 4 inches of concrete in less than 1 hour so I could install a 4 inch drain pipe. The Chicago Electric line at HF has been good for me.

....about buying something like this or using a sledgehammer and a lot of sweat to get the job done then buying this is a no brainer. Please keep in mind that I bought the version(orange and grey) of this tool available about two years ago.

So, I can't speak for the quality of this version but, if it's anything like the older version, it's a huge time and work saver. My version is HEAVY(VERY HEAVY) but, even so, taking ceramic wall tile with the two inches of morter behind it(fifty year old bathroom) was so much easier than using a sledge. I got that version, on sale w/cupon for about one twenty five. Was going to sell now that I'm done with it but, now, I plan on keeping it. USE EYE PROTECTION. Trust me on this.
