After about ten minutes this sanding pad is junk. Either heat melts the velcro holding the sand paper secure or the backing of the sand paper (fuzzy cloth) which holds it to the pad comes off and it will not hold the sand paper secure to the sanding pad.

I have bought three of these. They do not give you a metal sanding pad, they give you a plastic one. The hole to secure it is to big or when tighten down it breaks and if you don't tighten it down it vibrates right off. They do not offer a metal sanding pad. They are all plastic and half of them the holes are too big and being plastic they only last a few minutes if your lucky. I'm bringing mine back for a full refund. It needs to be metal other wise your throwing your money down the drain.

There does not appear to be a sanding pad from other manufacturers available for the HF multi-tool. The hole in the pad where the mounting screw goes isn't big enough for the lock washer, so it doesn't stay tightened. The "loop" backing on the sandpaper isn't very robust--once you remove it from the pad, it's almost impossible to reattach it...but you can't tighten the mounting screw with the sandpaper in place. Not for heavy-duty use.

I traveled a total of 50 miles to get a replacement for the old triangle metal head that had melted while I was sanding my wooden deck. The salesman handed me the plastic one as a replacement for the metal head. I tried to once again sand but could go no more than 5 seconds before the head would come off. After 20 times of putting it back on and tightening it - I quit. Very, Very Disgusted to find I was given a part by the salesperson that did not work and now have a useless sander since I cannot find a new METAL head.

10 mins. into sanding the pad comes loose so I put some more twist the next time, again it comes loose I try one more time, the pad breaks off the machine, I go to HF get a new one, deja vu. Just dont get the plastic one try finding a metal one

Very low quality compared to the old metal triangle that HF used to sell. You're lucky if the sandpaper stays attached from the start. I think the backing on the sandpaper is low quality too. Used a different brand sandpaper and it stayed attached better and gave the triangle a slightly longer life. Pretty much a garbage product.

This thing is junk. Don't buy it. The first one I had didn't last through the first piece of sandpaper before the velcro detached from the sanding pad (the pad physically fell apart). I exchanged it for a new one, and that one only lasted slightly longer before doing the same thing. Not worth the money.

This is a sorry sandpaper holder. It will not hold it keeps on coming loose and the paper will not stay on. And after very little use the velcro was gone that holds the paper on. Don'tbuy this one buy one some place else.

The sanding sheets don't attach securely and quickly detatch at the edges. That exposes the hook/loops on the pad to damage very quickly. The hook/loops on my pad were worn out after 20 minutes of sanding.

Other than that, the tool itself is a great value.

Don't buy this. The sanding pad comes loose as soon as you turn the tool on and touch it to the work. There's no way to press it on hard enough because it doesn't attach tightly.
