Used this sander to remove a polyurethane coating from a table top. Worked great and very little dust. Must use the provided tool to make holes in the paper for proper dust removal.

I have owned 3 of these now. I haven't done a lot of woodworking in the last 2 years but these things last. I accidentally broke the first one by dropping it off of a ten foot ladder. My son broke the clamp that holds the paper in place on the second one. The third is still in my Garage. The first two saw a lot of abuse. The third works flawlessly all I have to do is load some paper in and go. Can't beat the price. I would have been really mad if I broke a $150 DeW@lt. I would usually wait until they were on sale and pick them up for like [$]. Seriously great sander.

I really like the sander so far, after several hours use! Seems very durable and high quality. For the price, can't be beat in quality, and I'd estimate it's comparable to the name-brand $50 sanders.

PS. A review above says, "The only drawback is that the dust bag on this saw catches almost no dust." However, this must be either because 1) they didn't punch the sandpaper using the included paper punch, to create holes in the bottom for dust to be sucked up through the base, or 2) they are using fine sandpaper (>150 grit) and the dust is just so fine it passes through the dust bag (I noticed 220 grit dust does pass through the bag).

Anyway, I highly recommend this sander so far!!!

I have used this sander several times now, and I have found it easy to tackle most sanding needs. Changing out different grits of sandpaper is a breeze and is quite easy to maneuver without fatigue for longer projects. This is a must-have for any do-it-yourselfer with a hobby shop at home.

This sander is excellent and I run it for about 30 minutes straight each session. I have dropped this sander from the bench several times and the rubber body looks new still. All I can say is it compares at about 1/4 the cost though. I also have the random orbital cousin of this sander and it's a champ too. The only drawback is that the dust bag on this saw catches almost no dust.

This sander works extremely well. It appears better built than the brand name sanders because it's base is solid metal. I looked at sanders in a store display and noticed that all the brand name models had plastic bases and one had broken where the sandpaper clip spring is held by a plastic tab. I am tuff on tools and I am pleased with this sander.

really like this sander, had others and vibrated alot ,but this one not to bad,stripped a end table in couple of hrs ,just change the paper and it sanded just fine,for the money it is well worth it,I just bought sandpaper and cut to fit...cheaper that way,had to use shop vac while sanding that's all,no big deal

I bought this sander for the price and reviews.

I find however that when using it, it removes paint/rough wood slower with 80 grit paper than my little Blk and Decker Mouse sander does with 120.

This sander is also a lot of work to use, all other saders I've used (including the mouse, 1/4 sheet, and 1/3 sheet sanders) effortlessly glide over wood as I sand with little effort to move back and forth, this sander however takes nearly as much effort as hand sanding.
