Works great and lots of fun. Be careful, though, and keep that orange hose out of the fire. It's easy to forget about it while you're burning stuff all around you.

Don't bother with the self igniting version of this HF sells. Keep a bbq lighter (the long kind) in your pocket and you'll be set if the flame ever goes out.

Note that the colder your propane tank is, the less flame you'll be getting out of this thing. Not a fault of the product, rather just the way it all works. I used my torch in the dead of winter with a real cold tank and output was probably half what it is now.

More dumb advice, I guess, but make sure when you're done, that you shut the valve off at the tank. Don't rely soley on valve this torch has.

Purchased one for my self and one for work. I bought one of these torches for work to do some much needed road repair,works great to heat the asphalt patch,with the asphalt hot,it flows and packs tighter ,also used it for weed control .well worth every Penney paid

It works and seems to work well. I have no complaints at all. I bought this because I didn't want to buy a O/A torch just yet. It burns really hot. I use it to light my barrel stove in my shop. Load it full of large logs and let this burn on them for a few min and it's good to go. No paper or nursing a fire to life. I also used it to heat up some metal so I could bend it. A o/a torch would work better for this but it does the trick for allot less money. Just be careful This thing is fun to play with and can get you in trouble if you're not careful. Make the kid in you come out. I wanted to walk around and burn everything lol. Self restraint will go along way here. Good product so buy it if you're thinking about it. I have a video review on you tube showing you mine. search for it and you'll find it I'm sure.

after 5 years I am still in shock and awe everytime I fire this torch up. It has so much power I cant believe it is legal. I can preheat any size chunk of iron to glowing red in minutes for a fraction of the cost of my oxy acy. torch. I melted a 24 ft. allum ladder to a puddle in about 15 minutes for about 50 worth of scrap that would fit in a five gallon bucket to haul to the scrap yard. I like to blacksmith metal and dont own a forge. this kicks but for a fast heating of metal that you want to work into any shape with a hammer and anvil. my neighbor came over to see if I was trying out a jet engine. he baught one too. dont waste your money on the elec. start, i light it all the time with my cig. lighter, just dont hold your hand in front when u are lighting it. get one before its illegal. you could roast hotdogs in 5 seconds no prob.

I bought this to heat up a boulder so I could break it up. I've already gone through one tank of gas and the torch works great. It will blow the flame out if you have a full tank of gas and turn the flame all the way up, no big deal. You should put a little Teflon pipe thread tape on the tank connection to get a good fit or it will leak a bit. It's easy to light with a long tipped lighter like the type for gas grills.

I have about 100 feet of alley fence that gets loaded with weeds including "goat heads". My wife and I don't like to use chemicals to kill them so I spend way to many hours manually pulling and shovelling them every year. It took me about a hour with this tourch to "cook" everything. There is no new growth yet, and if what I read is true, they will be gone for the entire year. The tourch worked great, and was very easy to use.

The hose did not fit my tank until I saw the internal threads on the tank. I am an old guy and don't bend to well. I love my new torch but the turbo scares my wife. She stands by with the hose.

Bought this to use to light my BBQ smoker. Works great for that, and 100's of other things around the farm. The only thing I would change would be to add a longer hose.

First time I pulled the trigger, I found out what the flamethrower guy in Saving Private Ryan felt like!
