I know its not the intended use for the product, but this little torch works for everything from soldering to lighting campfires. The torch is fuel efficient and best of all it uses standard camping equipment propane cilenders. the torch could have a longer hose but some faults are more than acceptable

i used it to fix a radiator hole and it solved my problem and saved a buck or two. delivers propane at a perfect rate compared to tank attached units.

I am very satisfied with this set for the price it is a good deal if you get it on sale you cant beat the price. Great for soldering copper pipe.

It is as advertised. I have had the product for many years and used it many times for my home plumbing needs. The 3/4" nozzle is excessive at times for copper pipe soldering and the kit needs an additional smaller nozzle.

Found it to be easy to handle,and the attachments were fair,a little thin but worked well in all.the only factor i had to bad to say was the stiffness of the hose,especially in cold weather or if you want to to roll it up.easy to hold it pencil style when brazing.

Keep in mind this is made to go on small propane bottle you find in a hardware store, not the 5 gallon tanks on your bbq.





As for heat output, this would be okay for soldering copper pipe up to about 3/4". It is really no more heat than a standard screw-on propane nozzle that attaches directly to a little bottle. So that was a bit disappointing. I actually needed more heat output for heating up bronze sculptures for patination, this is really not the torch for that. I ended up getting one of the 'weed burner' type of long handled torches, which is actually way more heat than I need. If you're looking in the store, they are over near the garden section rather than in the welding torch section. Those torches screw directly onto a bbq size 5 gal. propane tank.





The hose is quite short. Something about 5' would be far more useful.





It would be nice to have a medium large heat torch, but HF nor really anyone else sells that. It's either a little hobby solder torch like this, or something to burn down your barn.
