Thanks for the reviews, the only reason i was going to purchase this system is for my 7X10 mini lathe which i love and is better than my older South Bend 48" lathe but cant find a parting tool for it.

The M2 lathe chuck from Harbor freight works great and I can use it in my bench top drill press from HF and is the only chuck that works with 1/16" drill bits that I use for for gear pins.

OK since M6 and M4 bits dont work in the 7X10 with out modification and parting tools are non existant, is there a solution for a good parting tool set up?

Not Packaged right Review by Henry

Like the previous review by JOHN, the drill chuck does in fact NOT match with the 7x10 mini lathe. The lathe uses an MT2 tapered drill chuck while this drill chuck is not tapered. The quality is okay, you can definitely work with it.

ALSO: Parting tool does not fit. at the lowest "setting" with the adjustable screw, the tip of the parting tool is a good centimeter above the center of the part making it pretty much completely useless.

this "quick change" tool post is quicker than the stock tool bit holder but isn't as fast as the other quick change tool post on this site that wasn't available when i bought this one....

all in all, my advice: don't get this, go for the 140$ version. *i don't know if the parting tool for that one is okay or not* and also buy their 10 dollar MT2 drill chuck
