This is a great boat, excellent price and durable. What I like the best, is the long range of the radio control, my pond has a maximum length of 600 feet and I have no problem reaching the end. I have had it for two years now, and I only needed to replace one of the propellers.
Batteries last for 10-15 minutes of running time.

Bought this boat. Took it to the lagoon. After I installed a 8.4v 4200Mah battery. This boat just toooooooooook off. It was so much fun. I've used it about 15 times, and the only problem I had, was other people seeing, and bothering me to let them drive the boat. Very simple, and very fun. I would rate this boat, an easy 10. Buy one, and have fun.

This is an update on this boat after a year of fun and many trips to the ponds around within 40 miles this boat is still running strong with absolutely no problems. I have an extra battery but seldom use it because I run at least 3 different boats and the batteries last fine. I don't believe that any non brushless boat will outrun or out manuver this boat or give as much pleasure for the BUCK $$$$$

For me, this RC boat is great to pass the time when fishing is slow. My buddy and I keep a pair of 'em in my (real) boat. We recharge with HF's cheapest power inverter. Takes about 2 hours. (the "5hr" complaint by another reviewer is only for the FIRST time charging)
This thing is fast and maneuverable enough to keep anyone amused for hours. Once the batterypack is broken in, run time is over 1/2 hr. (if run moderately), and range is well above the advertised. But at 2 ft. long and only 5" high it is pretty much "out of site" at 100yds. anyway.
The only things I don't care for is the cheesy looking graphics and no other color choice.
Plus the fact that the On/Off switch on the boat only kills power to the motors. The receiver still has power and will run down the battery if it is left connected.
Lastly, as with ALL radio controlled vehicles, ALWAYS extend the antenna and power up the remote control BEFORE making the battery connection. The boat can (and WILL eventually) take off on its own if this practice is not adhered to religiously.

I really like this boat but I have had frequency interference which according to the tech dept at H.F may be caused by cell phones. With fully charged batteries it does not respond to transmitter inputs until about 2 or 3 minutes have passed then everything works perfect. I even took the first one back to the store for a replacment and it did the same thing. Word of caution... do not put in water until you have prechecked controls.

I got this boat for Christmas along with another boat that cost $85.00. My Son-in-law got three boats, all of which cost more than this and none of them ran for more than 5 minutes. My other boat runs but is not near as fast and does not maneuver well at all. I now have a name brand boat that cost $169.00 that runs and manuevers well, but is not any faster than this boat.
I have not been in boating long but have spent hundreds of hours researching all makes and models and reading reviews and I don't believe that you can buy a faster or better handleing boat than this one without going into one with a brushless motor starting at $220.00 on up in price.
All said and done I can not think of a single thing to say against this boat or suggest any improvements for the money.
UNBELIEVEABLE for the money and I believe that it will be running for a long while.

i used the boat probably 20 times...since driving fast nitro boats i wanted more speed, so i went to my workbench and ripped everything out of the boat. then used some fiberglass and metal cut outs, i put a .40 nitro inboard engine and fuel tank in the boat with a aquacraft supervee nitro rudder assembly. i finished it off with a spectrum rx/tx combo and savox servos, dubro throttle cabl and rudder wire.......no it is unbelivably fast..worth the price .

We got the boat and took it out to a creek near home. We took the grandkids and a canoe. The RC Boat was a hoot! It worked great and went fast. Everyone loved it. I painted it silver to add realism.

Racing the reflection pond at our campus library is a hoot. A little pre-schooler with a big remote control in his hand catches a lot of students' attention. Great memories being made! Planting the seeds to become an USAF fighter pilot! Go, Son!

Adding 1ft of copper or antenna wire will get you more range and fix any radio control problems.Also adding about 4 pop sicle sticks to the back above props makes a good trim wing it will get up and plane quicker and take off faster... Loving it
