It digs just fine. Outriggers are time consuming to change, wish they were hydraulic. Instruction book doesn't show how to grease pins @ wear points. I bought 7piece grease kit after talking to tech. I have never seen grease fittings like this. On the end of each pin, there is a spring-loaded B B. the pointed grease gun adapter from the kit shoots into the pin/with hole in pin, lubes the pin just great. This needs to be illustrated in the manual for Dummies like me. Overall, well pleased with it.
I graft and sell pecan trees. I don't use the "Idiot Sticks" anymore!

This little devil can grip and rip! I purchased it in 2008 and thought I'd kill it off by now. It has a well balanced design (with outrigger legs in full position)that allowed me to walk it out in soft tidal muck and back out again. Be careful: the hydralic power of this digger will eventually exceed the stress limits of the worn bucket. Yesterday I got a bit too agressive ripping out a concrete slab and peeled the bucket open along its seams!My Bad.I just ordered the replacement bucket after 5 years of abuse; Engine always starts easy. An incredible bargain. I'm sorely tempted to buy another one since they are on sale.

I have use 2 tanks of gas. It is slow but workable DO NOT TOW ABOVE 30MPH maybe I can pull the pin so I can move the boom to the side to change the weight displacement I change 2 hoses so when I push the levers the fuction goes away from me the swing goes right when I pull it goes left

I have bought a trenchman years ago from another out fit was a good machine but this one is much better built I was very impressed after assembly. the only problems I found were two hydrolic lines needed reversed easy enough and one grease fitting needed replaced very small issues but very happy ! the price was half the price i payed for the other machine and shipping was amazingly cheap I paid 500.00 for my last one.great deal

I am so glad I talked myself into purchasing this trencher. I have gotten so much use out of it in just the 2 weeks I have had it. I've dug a couple holes in hard ground for the trees my wife bought. I have used it to clear out a bunch of buckbrush plus I have a long list of things that I gotta get done around the house and horse corrals

I purchased the trencher to use on my gold mine. It has done everthing I have asked of it . If you can get the bucket around it, it will pick it up and move it. Would recommend to anyone who hates shovels.

We have had this trencher for over 7 years and keep finding new uses every day .we have used for every thing from stump removal to digging out footers for your new addition .
Friends and family always want to borrow and we have no problem letting them since we know it will get the job done and come home looking to get working at home again
We wish that we had an hour meter on to prove the amount of use we have gotten 500 + hours

I have had this for a few months now. Although it is not as powerful as a full sized backhoe, with the 12 inch bucket, it moves alot of dirt. I don't use it hooked to a vehicle due to the stress on the tongue, but as long as you pull along with going down it won't raise the back end up very much. I haul it with my 4 wheeler. I have had pieces welded on it to hold the claw feet when in transit. The only strees area which could have had stronger metal is where the pin that holds the feet to the main frame. It just shows the most wear but in no way does this change my good opinion of this machine. I would recommend this to anyone who has the need for such a machine as opposed to a full size one at 10 times the price new.

This thing works great. Took a bit to learn to move it around but got down now. I have had no problems as others have listed; however, I do make sure I keep it greased -- the main turret was popping until I found the grease nipple, now it is fine. Only complaint is moving it any distance. Moving the tires to move it is a pain so -- I now just put the bucket in my tractor front-end loader bucket and back the tractor to the new location. Works great for moves that are too short to take time to switch wheels and too far to walk the digger to new location.
