I use these as 12v to 5v converters for LED lights (Harbor Freight's RiteLite Four Head, LED Under-Cabinet Light) running off a 12v system (charged by Harbor Freight's Chicago Electric 15 Watt, 12 Volt Solar Panel). Runs a little warm, but that's to be expected with any converter. I hope to try them with Harbor Freight's "27 LED Portable Worklight/Flashlight" when the local store has the lights in stock again....

I bought one of these for my ipod touch [2nd gen] since it won't charge without an Apple approved car charger and this works a hell of a lot better. I have not had any problems with mine but I find the fuse setup a little odd but I'm not complaining.

I bought this so I can charge my iphone. Got very warm after using it for the first time for about half an hour. The 2nd time I tried using it, it stopped working. I think it blew the fuse because my cig lighter stopped working as well.
