All i have to say is put the red bins on the peg board before mounting to wall. Then add 4 or more screws to help keep it firmley on the wall.

As of my first review I hadn't used this product very much yet.
I didn't care for the wide width of the unit when installing on the wall... so I took a saber saw, cut the wall mount in half so that the longer length of the unit is vertical instead of horizontally. Suits my needs perfectly now.
A great thing about this set is that the way I mounted this unit, I ended up with extra bins (small or large) that work great on the workbench! Gotta love an added bonus these days!
Just don't expect to overload these bins and then complain about it-the bins are held up by a plastic rail on the back-they are what they are at a great price! I felt good about another HF purchase on this product too.

I bought this item just for the bins. I never intend to use the supplied mounting board to hold the bins on a wall.





The other reviewers are correct, the bins are indeed hard to mount on the supplied mounting board.





But their reviews refer to bins that are fresh out of the package. With time and maybe a hot summer, I expect that the bin tabs will adjust (re-form) to the dimensions dictated by supplied mounting board. The dissatisfied reviewers will find, I believe, that their bins will attach to the mounting board reasonably well after a while.





As for the supplied mounting board, it can be used as intended, but I believe that the design will always make removing and re-attaching individual bins awkward. This is because the bin spacing, dictated by the mounting board, places the bins too close together vertically.





Purchasers of this product will also be disappointed if they do not follow the instructions for attaching the mounting board to a wall or if they ignore the weight limits for stored items. Don't blame the product if you don't use it as intended.

Bought this set mainly for the good price on the bins. The mounting rack looks like it may not stand the test of time when the bins are loaded as far as sagging. The rack is heavy enough though. It doesnt look too bad, but on the other hand you're not paying a huge amount for it either. A person has to be realistic. Will wait and see what happens over time with weighted bins.I'm satisfied.

wall mounting these just isnt really worth the hassle.

I use them in a large print file cabinet and they work great in that application.

Only get if on good sale. Can be cut in half to make 2 ea 12 x 12. MUST BE MOUNTED ON FLAT SURFACE FOR FULL SUPPORT. The drawer sizes are fixed to only allow the 3 top rows of red and the two bottom rows of blue. The blue are taller than the red and if you change it, they will interfeer with the one's below. Not for heavy (like a bin full of screws, or any other like heavy item) unless you support the area with additional mounting screws. If you add screws make sure you add a back support of some type. WITH A LITTLE MOUNTING CARE AND FINESS, THERE IS A WAY TO MAKE THIS SO SO PRODUCT INTO AN OK PRODUCT. Just remember, you get what you pay for with plastic anything.

In needed some storage bins so I bought this thing on sale. Compared to others like them they were significantly lower in price. I have had mostly very good experiences with things I bought at Harbor Freight. This was not one of them. Good idea, very poor design. While the bracket goes up easy enough if you look close the slots for the bins are bowed so the bins don't go in easily and some not at all. The tabs on the back of the bins are not strong enough, the plastic is brittle and the tabs are not separated from the back of the bin enough to let it go into slots. After breaking a few, it only takes a little bit of pressure to break the tabs off, I tried to soften them with a heat gun set on low. I thought it was a good idea, it wasn't, they still broke. I'm not convinced that even a small amount of weight in the bins won't eventually crack the tabs and I would certainly not try to remove them. After going through the frustration of putting it up I will be taking it down and putting it in it's new home, the dumpster. Not a big loss they were cheap.

Needed to clean up the garage and saw these storage containers on sale. Picked one up and got it to the house. As I was unwrapping the plastic I notice the back mounting panel was made out of plastic and was broken on the lower corner. I then went ahead and removed it from the container to see if it was still usable, but changed my mind when I saw how flimsy the mount was.. Even if it wouldn't have been broken, I don't think I could have supported any hardware such as screws and nails in them. I am returning the item to HF and will pick up the higher grade one with the self standing mount made out of metal.
