Windshield Chip Repair Kit

I followed the instructions and it turned out well. I took a photo before I began and afterward, it was difficult to see where the crack had originally been and take a picture, i.e., the camera couldn't find anything to focus on. I will recommend to anyone who has a small chip in their windshield and wants to get it fixed quickly.

Got a star chip on the way from ca to az that ran about 18 inches. Wanted to fill it in to keep it from running anymore until I could get home to replace the windshield. Kit filled the star and about 6 inches across the run, but the star didn't run in any other directions after the repair and got me home to replace the windshield! Highly recommended for small chips

I followed directions to the tee, but it failed me. You get a sticky "washer" which you glue to your windshield, then you stick another piece to that. All was well until I put inward pressure using the plunger - then the piece came unglued from the washer and the resin started dribbling down my windshield. Good thing I saw it or it would have been all over my wiper and everywhere else after the prescribed 20 minutes. So the resin didn't get forced into the damaged area as it was supposed to. Then I had to do the curing step twice - after the first time (15 minutes in the blazing Florida sun) I was left with a divot after scraping with a razor blade. So I applied resin again and the yellow plastic piece and left it to roast for 25 minutes. That worked a little better. Bottom line, the damaged area looks smaller now than when I started, but it did not disappear.My [$] probably could have been better spent than on this cheap kit that couldn't have cost more than a couple of $$ to put together.
