The foam in the case is pick and pull style which allows you to customize the layout for your specific need. To start, place the item(s) on top of the foam in the desired position. Trace the outline of each item on the foam using a marker or soft pencil, making sure to leave enough space for complete foam blocks between each item and the sides of the case. Remove the marked blocks by pulling each piece by hand to customize the foam insert. Leave more blocks in place around the edges of the item for a tighter fit.
Harbor Freight offers replacement foam for all sizes of the Apache cases through our Parts Department. To find the part number of the foam, look under the "Replacement Parts" section on the product page and call 1-800-444-3353 to order. Replacement parts can also be found by searching "Replacement Parts" in the website’s search bar and following the steps listed there.
These products are IP65 rated, meaning they are dustproof and watertight, providing protection from water spray, splashes, and low-pressure jets at any direction.
Yes, the cases can be used on planes. The Apache cases are equipped with an adjustable pressure relief valve, which equalizes pressure for easy opening, allowing the case to be opened after changing elevation.
