I modified this to be used with an mp3 player for predator hunting. The mod requires some electronic skills/knowledge. I just used the cord for some old headphones and a capacitor and a resistor. I removed the electret microphone and hooked the red wire to the leading leg of the 10uF cap and the other leg to the non ground wire for one side of the headphones. I hooked the headphone ground to the ground (I get an error for using the color of this wire when submitting my review) wire from the old mic and used a resistor between the ground and the non ground headphone wire. Basically the blk (ground) mic wire was hooked to the headphone ground and one leg of the resistor. The other leg of the resistor was hooked to the shorter leg of the cap with the non ground headphone wire.
I hope this helps others some. The new components fit easily into the unit with little modification. By the way I forgot what size of resistor I used, but I think it was around 120 ohms but I don't remember and it shouldn't matter too much. I want to get another for the other channel. Good luck if you want to try this. BTW it works ok for music too.

At the lake we're always yelling back and forth to the house to bring down more beer, margaritas, skis, life vests, ropes or inner tubes. These will make it a lot easier and fun. I'll also use it to yell at boats & skiers who drive too close to our dock (my Dad would be proud!).

This megaphone is really fun to use! It can be heard a long way away. On the box it says it has three different siren sounds but, has only one. I don't think my neighbors like it that much. They'll just have to turn down their hearing aids I guess!

The batteries cost more than the unit when on sale. Works great, I ended up buying 5 of them for family and friends, everyone loves it.

I purchased 7 total. One for myself as I'm handicapped and can summon help with it when others are outside. Also the dog responds to it.
My adult son wanted one as he has OCD.

I donated 5 to my church youth group, and all were used at our youth camp from June 13-17, and all worked perfectly without a fault. It kept counselors from losing their voices. Batteries almost cost more then the megaphones.
