I had a little honda b16 mounted on it, and it just didn't seem like it would be strong enough to hold anything much heavier.

The front caster wheel broke when we put a Ford 302 engine on it the first time we used it. Otherwise it worked pretty well.

Comments about Central Machinery 1000 Lb. Engine Stand:

Excellent addition to my home shop. Bought a cherry picker from HF a few years ago. Redressed the engine on the hoist. Not fun. Got ready to pull another engine and bought the stand because I knew it was going to be out a while.

It held a dressed 350 SBC with no noticeable bow or wobble in the frame. My 17 y/o was able to roll it around on a concrete floor and rotate it while degreasing/painting/reassembling.

Was highly impressed with the strength of this when only holding the engine on via 4 bolts (which I bought Gr 8 bolts for it).

You will not be disappointed with this one. The price difference between this and the 750lb model is well worth the piece of mind.

Used on AMC 360 Rebuild (almost 700 lbs fully loaded). Spun engine around and rolled on casters and wheels fine.

I had absolutely NO problems with this. Very satisfied.

              Not the best

Comments about Central Machinery 1000 Lb. Engine Stand:

If your putting a (ford 360,390 ect) on this consider another choice. The weight is much less than its range but the motor doesn't set level unless you put something under it to hold it up.Also the engine will not fit no matter how you place the stand the bolts will not all line up I could get only three of the bolts to bolt up and had to modify the 4th to work .Yes Ive used stands before, maybe this is just for small motors,Also with the motor on the stand it takes two people to roll it around.would not recommend this stand look around ask questions get something you trust to use.I only give 2 stars cause it was easy to put togeather and cheap and thats what it is cheap and cheap made.

Nice stand but the wheels aren't that great they dont steer worth a c*** even on smooth concrete. The clips that hold the wheels on will come off. I tack welded mine on after nearly tipping over.

Comments about Central Machinery 1000 Lb. Engine Stand:

I bought this when I was replacing my sons engine in his dodge durango. It wheels around very nice. Stable. May need help turning the handle to move the engine around (but that could just be because I have no upper body strength).

              Overall well worth the money.
