I just had this installed on my 21' '89 toy hauler/travel trailer on Monday. I towed the trailer with my '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee about 16 miles to the guy who was going to install it. It was a windy afternoon and I sure could feel the sway of the trailer, even at lower speeds. It was a world of difference on the way home a couple hours later. I'm a 66 year old woman towing a travel trailer for the first time and this hitch coupled with the HF Trailer Sway Kit really made a big difference. Since I live in an area that is almost constantly windy, it was a must for me! I'll be towing my trailer "for real" this weekend to a weekend metal detecting outing and look forward to a safe and comfortable trip.

I tow my 26 foot camper with a f150 king cab. Tows nice and smooth and truck has no sagging and no swaying.

This Hitch is no Different than many other sway control hitches. i purchased mine from Harbor freight and brought it home and compaired it to my fathers and a good friends both of which paid around $500.00 for both of theirs. the haul master looks completely the same. the other two even had different manufactor names on them.

It should be illegal to pull a camper without one of these. 75 down the interstate with this hitch attached to my 7000 # camper and it was like it wasn't even back there. I highly recommend this to anyone with a bumper hitch camper.

I pulled a 24 foot camper across the mountains with this system behind an F-150 with out any trouble. I added the sway bar to the hitch and you didn't know it was back there. It done everything I expected for about half the price of the hitches at the R.V. dealers. I plan on using it every time I pull the camper!

When I set up the hitch I was disappointed that it had no drop as advertised. It's advertised as having 7.5" of rise & drop, but when it is set at the lowest setting available, the base of the ball is still roughly even with the bottom of the receiver tube on the vehicle. This means it actually provides ZERO inches of drop, but it should provide plenty of lift if that's what you need.

Here's the deal with this. I read all the great reviews for this product, and was very excited to order it; after all I have ordered a lot from HF with no problems, they have always taken care of the products that I have bought. The problem occurred when I recieved product. The box was torn up with huge gapeing holes. I immediately took pictures and called customer service who told me to go ahead and inspect the box, and call back if anything was missing. When I opened the box, nearly half the parts were not there, so I cllaed back. The first person that I talk to kept insisting part nimbers that didn't exist,when I asked to speak with a manager she told me it was not longer available and had been discontinued. I don't know if this is true and if you are considering buying this product, consider that there may be problems getting it. I am military and need this part to make my move. I will now be forced to purchase a product 3 times this amount in order to make the journey to my new duty station. be careful buying this product, I'm sure its great if you can get it to you, but if not don't expect much help from Harbor Frieght.
