Use the sale promotion. Use lube or grease on drawer slides. If you don't want to put it together don't buy. If your picky don't buy. It is what it is, a toolbox it holds tools for cheap!! I love mine!! I will buy another or possibly two. I use mine everyday. I am particular about my tools. I like them organized, clean,and readily available. This box does the job!!!

This is a great box, with lots of flexible storage, and is a great value.

The drawers are easy to open and close, even though they are not ball-bearing, and are pretty loud. With some of the newer boxes out there, you have to make an extra push to close or open the door, but with these they just simply slide. It's a little "old school", and I prefer this method.

The height of the shortest drawers are perfect to fit standard sized boxes of screws/nails.

Nice bottom storage area for circular saw and some other tall power tools.

The matte finish does attract dirt from dusty hands/gloves more than a glossier finished box will.

It is maybe a little flimsier than more expensive boxes, but to me it is plenty sturdy for my use.

Well packaged, and easy to assemble. You only have to attach the handles and wheels. No missing parts, even some extra screws thrown in.

Thinking about a 2nd one for the basement now!

The unit was purchased as a recent sale item.... Assembly went well. The quality was very good. This is not a heavy duty professional cabinet. However, if one is a professional and deals with lighter products (pens, jewelry, modeling), it is very well suited. Very Highly recommended. My only negative is that the lower cabinet near the base has a large opening instead or drawers... I prefer all drawers. I may insert a cabinet with drawers in the base cabinet. Very nice product.

I really like this box. If I were a professional mechanic I would not look at this. However as a guy that works on a little of everything in his shop it is perfect. I read all the reviews I could find on this box and they helped me make the decision to buy it. It is a little flimsy, so not the box to be moving around a lot. I put it where I wanted it and put a couple of screws into my work bent and wall to hold it in place. The tip about putting some grease on the rollers, help a lot too. For a do it yourself guy and if you find the deal that puts it at the lowest price you really get your money's worth. I am very pleased with this purchase.

After my father passed away, I needed a place to store the tools he left for me. This toolbox is perfect; even without the ball bearing drawers it works perfectly. Compared to the brands at $800+ you can't go wrong.

I purchased this about a year ago and was pleasantly surprised at how really nice it is. No dings or dents and not even a scratch out of the box! The wrinkle, dark gray paint was perfectly applied and seems durable enough.

Assembly was very straight forward, all the parts fit precisely and I was quite pleased with the build quality. I had this all together in less than an hour, as all there is to do is to screw on the four casters, two side handles, one side bar, and the eleven chromed drawer handles.

The instructions need an update with regard to the fact that you don't need "nuts" for anything (threaded weldnuts are employed so all you are doing is turning screws into the proper holes). If you are the least bit "mechanical" the illustrations are more than sufficient, as parts only fit one way.

Mine came in three separate cartons, all very well packed and everything was plastic bagged inside the box. The drawer rails are not ball-bearing'd, but the slides were lubricated and everything worked well. I added a little extra machine oil on a couple of the drawers where the lube seemed sparce; and I added some small amount of grease to the lift and slide, lower chest cover so it opens a bit more smoothly.

One added plus was that every drawer and the lower compartment all had vinyl-like liners and each of the three cabinets are key-lockable.

A very-small negative was that two of the four castors were fixed and that wasn't as manueverable in my little shop as it could be. But HF carries matching castors and for very little, I replaced the two fixed wheels with swivels. Also, two of the supplied casters are "lockable".

My chest now is packed with hand tools, with the top holding a 150 piece socket set with extensions, ratchets, speeders, and even my torque wrench. The drawers hold all my hammers, screw drivers, plier sets, punches, open-end and other wrench sets (imperial and metric) and even my electronic tools, meters, etc. as well as my precision measuring tools.

The lower cabinet is great for the rags, aprons, and other material supplies and even a couple of one-gallon cans sitting upright.

With all of that (maybe 200-plus lbs), it is all easily moved around the shop, on the 3-inch casters, to where I need it, when necessary.

While this may not be for the auto-mechanic who has several hundred pounds of tools that he is constantly grabbing and perhaps throwing back into the cabinet, it does serve it's purpose well for me.

I keep my tools clean and handle them with care. For my use, the cabinet is perfect and I plan to buy another of these in the very near future!

I gave this five stars, not so much because its the best cabinet I ever saw, for surely there are heavier, more durable cabinets; but they come at significantly higher cost, usually several times more expensive!. For what you get, at the price you get it, this is a significantly good buy which serves it's intended purpose very, very well.

This box has greatly exceeded my expectations. I have every drawer fully loaded with tools and it is just as sturdy as the day I bought it. All the drawer slides work great. I loaded them up with white lithium grease when I first got it,
Which seemed to help immensely. I got mine on sale, for one fiddy. I also really like the flat uhh opposite of white finish(can't say the real color harbor freight considers it profanity in certain contexts) there are never any greasy fingerprints to clean off, and the included drawer liners are, okay. They keep the tools protected but
They definitely don't keep them in place.

I bought 2 for at work, could have got the common manufacturer from the department store 3 piece like the one I replaced for the same price. The lock mechanism could be better for the bottom and there is a wasted space in the bottom cabinet in my opinion since I'd rather have a couple big drawers instead of the door thing. Overall this is a fine box for the price.

I got this Set of 3 Boxes a Few Years ago I believe possibly in april of 2009. I had a smaller No Name box and was having to hold my tools in Carboard Boxes and misc Tool bags because I needed more storage space, This box is fantastic I can hold all my Air Tools, Paint Guns and Supplies, has enough room to seperate my Screwdrivers, 3/8 drive sockets and Open end box wrenches, my 1/2 drive Items and seperate area for all my air Tools Impact, sanders,die grinders etc. My Only Issue now is I have aquired more tools then I now have storage for so I need to look at possibly adding one of the side boxes designed for the more expensive HF boxes and hope that will work. This box has held up awesome for all these years and all I found I needed to do was remove the drawers, Sliders and do some adjustments on the sliders to remove the slop/slack in them and apply a decent amount of Grease and since then Drawers have worked Flawlessly and with my 1/2 and Air tools I am sure I have more weight in each drawer then they recommend and they have held up great so far,].
