I am using for a couple bicycle tires, works great for the past 2 weeks. Good price. But why can't the manufacturer list all information properly?

User manual and specifications on website are missing critical information.

Simply defining the pressure rating is not enough, how about defining the flow rate at some specific pressures set-points.

Also pump efficiency is not defined, the estimated pump efficiency at some pressure setpoints is needed.

Pressure, flow-rate and efficiency are really fundamental when providing specifications for any pump. Why wouldn't these all be listed?

I used this item to top off my tires on my Honda Civic a couple of times and to top off a tire on my Ford Ranger. Then I had a tire go flat on the
ranger in a remote cabin. It filled the tire (VERY slowly). After I repaired the tire and attached the pump again, it got to 24 pounds and then the pump stopped while the motor continued running. I diassembled the unit and found that the nylon gear on the pump had failed. Item beyond repair.

I suggest spending a bit more for one of the other 12V compressors sold by Harbor. They are probably more durable.

    Works Great

    By William

    from Undisclosed

Comments about 12 Volt, 250 PSI Compact Air Compressor:

This product works great. It's a little slow on car tires pumping just a couple of pounds per minute but so what. Also, because the scale on the gauge is so large (250 psi) you'll need a good quality tire gauge (not the pen style) if you want a more precise reading. Can't beat the price too.

    good

    By dean

    from Undisclosed

Comments about 12 Volt, 250 PSI Compact Air Compressor:

    noisy

    slow (car tires)

    bounces all over the place

    gauge is useless

    but:

    cheap

    effective (eventually)

    tiny and light

    long chord

For emergency kit, not regular use, it's great.

Make sure you use it the correct way.

Comments about 12 Volt, 250 PSI Compact Air Compressor:

if you want to inflate your flat tire, make sure you JACK YOUR CAR UP FIRST!

once you take the car weight from the tire, this little pump will do its job with ease.

    screws fall off

    By pancho

    from Undisclosed

Comments about 12 Volt, 250 PSI Compact Air Compressor:

it takes a long time for car tires, after two or three uses everything starts to shaked due to the vibration and little screws start falling off from somewhere inside the plastic body. still runs, makes a lot of noise but no air comes through the hose anymore. i think i'll spend a little bit more next time.

    Great for ATV tires

    By Michael

    from Undisclosed

Comments about 12 Volt, 250 PSI Compact Air Compressor:

I keep on of these in my ATV gear bag on board. Since ATV tires only take up to about 9 pounds of air max, these are perfect. They are small and lite and are a necessary item for off road. There are few things that spoil an ATV outing like a flat tire 10 miles from camp...

    Sucks

    By CGT

    from Undisclosed

Comments about 12 Volt, 250 PSI Compact Air Compressor:

Used it for 5 minutes filling a tire, shut it off to cool for 20 mins, turned it back on and the motor disconnected from the compression cylinder. May do the job for basketballs, but do not bother trying with your car.
