This is one of the best cordless drills for the money, the battery last a very long time, and is easy on the hands to use. I put up carports and you can't beat it for the price!

this little drill is perfect for someone that needs a real light light duty drill that won't die out on you in the middle of a job , it has good battery life and good spin for those jobs where a bigger drill would be "overtooled" my only advice would be to spend a little extra and get a spare battery , they are becoming rare in the stores so i am thinking this line might be discontinued shortly , go figure!!

I've had this drill for about 6 months now , I bought 2 extra batteries for insurance and I have yet to use the third battery , been using this to put up ceiling fans , hang blinds and small intricate work , I don't recommend a drill like this to build a deck or any big jobs where any cordless drill would die out anyway but for light all-round home improvement gigs this fits the bill

I'm a professional woodworker. I own another brand of Lion 12v. drill driver and love it too. I bought this one as a backup for those heavy-use days, but it turns out to be every bit as powerful and dependable as the one I paid over twice as much for.
I've been using this one for over a year without one complaint.

all my buddies couldnt wait for it to break firsst time i used it (a year and a half ago) still goin strong like i just bought it. it really proved itself when we were stuck in a jam because we forgot the big guy drill. so i ended up having it in my backseat so we ended up using it to drill clean through a telephone pole sized post with a 3/4" auger no problem. just set the gearbox to 1 and drilled away. literally couldnt beleve it. after seeing this shortly after my one friend bought two for his company and theyv been through a year of commercial technician abuse.

I have had tons of drills every name brand. I own A/C, Plumbling and Appliance buisness, was in harbor f. and they had a sale for them [$]. I put it right to the test works as good as my bulky 12 and 18 volt and battery kept up better. I have dropped it at least 20 times 20 feet or more. Ive had for a year now still works. charges fast after two weeks of contant use it died.. and charged up in about 25 min.. and went another two weeks. Dewalts collecting dust.1 CON and not really a con.. if you have chuck set on drill you can hold it and thermal will stop the drill and start back up.. but when drilling something thermal never kicks in weird.

I build furniture, toys, household items, etc., and I do what I can around the house. About 20 years ago I bought a 14.4 volt yellow drill. It was just about perfect, but the batteries finally died and it was getting heavy as my arthritis worsened. The price of new ones and a bad experience with having one rebuilt professionally, lead me to find a new one.

I bought one of these on sale, was thrilled and promptly bought one for my daughter. It seems almost as powerful as my old 14.4 v (first thing I did was drill a 1 1/8" hole edge-wise through a 2 x 4 using a spade bit) and was blown away. I continued to use it, maybe abuse it a bit, but it's still working fine.

A couple things to remember; the charger isn't a SMART charger (the drill is under $50, folks), so charge it ONLY FOR 45 MINUTES! It will work fine. It holds a charge, the Li-Ion battery is the same amp-hour rating as major brand 12v li-ion tools, it just doesn't sense battery temp and can over-charge. We're not paying $150+ for this feature, so don't expect it. As for noisy bearings, the noise you hear when you release the trigger is the BRAKE. Unnecessary to my mind, but it works. That's the government for you. Don't go tearing it apart to fix that which isn't broken. The chuck grips tightly, has almost zero run-out, the drill is light and very nicely ergonomic-especially for arthritic hands.

Will it last 20 years as the one it replaced? Who knows? But it works as well as anything else I have tried, feels good in my hands, and at this price, I DON'T CARE IF IT LASTS ONLY 10 YEARS. WHEN IT DIES, I WILL BUY ANOTHER AND BE GLAD IT'S AVAILABLE.

This is one of those HF jewells that you cannot afford to pass up. Buy, enjoy.
