I've purchased 4 sets of these horns when HF puts them on sale Yes, the relays are questionable; 2 failed within 3 months. The sound is great but do dome preventative things and your horn will last a long time. I should mention mine are all 3 years old. The red horn portion is mounted to the black diaphram with sticky tape; it dries out and the horn falls off onto the ground. I learned to remove the horn prior to installation and super glue it together. Use hose clamps on the air lines as the clear plastic tubing expands w/ age and heat. Plan on the relay failing; if it fails to work after a month or so, check it first.

I'm no expert electronics expert, but I doubt if many people want to use a separate horn button when they have an existing system in place. If you want to use your existing horn button, 85 goes to ground, 86 goes to your existing horn power wire, and 30 still goes to a heavy duty fused circuit, and 87 still goes to the + on the compressor. When you hook everything up 'properly', you'll get a horn that is better than a broken existing horn. Maybe even louder than stock.

Don't buy this product until the quality improves, Bought this for a companion with my original horn When I recieved it, horn relay was defective , Bought a new horn relay, unit worked for 15 days before air compressor locked up, when this happened, the relay burned up including the wiring to my original horn before the fuse opened up

Bought these on sale and followed all directions given by other reviewers -glue horns, use clamps on hoses. The diagram they provide is horrible. Instead use directiosn from Wolo horns on website model 400, which is identical to HF horn. Be prepared to buy wiring and such or buy horn wiring kit from Wolo. All in all sounds awesome.

Comments about 12 Volt Super-Loud Air Horn:

Compressor is heavy duty. Horns are cheap plastic that need to be glued in. I agree that you should glue before installing and put clamps on the hose so they dont blow off. I have not installed it yet but I tested the horns one at a time and they are loud. I need them to tell lousy drivers to get out of my way. [*]

large parts work great, some hardware needs improvement

Comments about 12 Volt Super-Loud Air Horn:

I first installed the kit with all stock components, and at first it worked great, but the flexible tubing popped off the compressor housing and the relay was disagreeable...

if you replace the relay, use a push button switch, and use hose clamps on the connections, the kit is wonderful,

i have had it working for over a year now
