Picked up the set to try to remove a busted screw on an old sander I'm restoring. Worked like a charm! The bit dug in a bit before the broken screw started to spin, then it came right out. These things are friggin' priceless when you need them. I think I'll pick up a second set next time I'm in the store Just to have them. If you work on any older machinery (or woodwork) get them!!!

I am a machine repairman for one of the large car companys. I have a lot of harbor freight tools at work in my tool boxes along with big, brand name tools. A lot of the people I work with look down their noses at Tools from places like Harbor Freight, because they think they are junk,, long time ago,, that might have been true. But big advances in metalergy over the past few decades,, ( along with all the complaints of junk quality ) have made the difference. I bought these reverse drill bits on a whim one day and tossed em in my tool box at work. I actually did not have a lot of faith in them, but up to today I did not use them. Today we had a couple of small number 10 bolts broken off in a shaft on one of our machines. We could not get them out with a punch and really could not get good access to them. Then I remembered I had those reverse drills in my tool box, I got them and they actually drilled a nice hole in the center of those small grade 8 bolts,, and we were able to get an easy out in them and remove the bolts. Of course we were hoping there would be enough drag on them with the drill bit to get them to unscrew as they were being drilled but that did not happen in this case. But the bottom line was those drills actually did a really respectable job drilling grade 8 hardness bolts. We still got guys there that still laugh at Harbor Freight tools,, but that group is getting smaller. Most of the tools are well worth the money ya spend for them.

I made 3 trips to Harbor Freight just to get these drill bits and was sold out each time.Went yesterday and they only had 4 sets left so I bought 2 just to have.These will only be used for what I said above,removing broken bolts or studs and that's it.I have other drill bits for normal drilling of holes in wood or metal.I needed these about a month ago to help in the removal of a broken bolt on my roto-tiller,would have saved me alot of time and cursing(lol),now I have them so bring on the broken bolts(not really),maybe since I'm prepared now,there will be no more.

Makes removing stripped out allan head set screws so easy it seems like cheating. Works well with a hand held drill.

i bought these about a year ago, and have used them several times. i broke one of the smaller bits, but it was my own fault for pushing too hard.





these bits are great for removing broken bolts. i would not use them as a regular drill bit, just because they are a little spendy compared to regular bits. great buy!!

I AM A MOBILE MECHANIC AND I needed these for a one time job . . .to remove a broken steel bolt from on aluminum block. . . .that was about two years ago and they keep on cutting . .. i will buy more as soon as these wear out. . . .GREAT BUY VERY IMPRESSED !!!!
