One of HF's gonga deals. I couldn't find a comparable crank light for the money and it has performed flawlessly for 3 months now, in a professional auto repair shop nearly every day. Wall charger, car charger, hand crank...you hear what I'm sayin'? Preppers take note, a must have! When the grid goes down and the batteries die, you wont be left in the dark. A word of advice...IF you have the know how, open 'er up and lose the L/A battery. Wire in an old 18 volt NiCd from a cordless drill and double your lumens and on-time like I did! Helluva light - buy it.

So far this light has been great! Took it camping it preformed great! Was going to use it as a backup light but ended up using it as one of the primary lights.

this is one of the better items I have gotten at harbor freight. I normally shy away from battery ran items at harbor freight as the batterys are low quality and for me normally DOA. the battery in this light works good. I do have some complains about the body of the light, it would be nice if the center of the body were real metal and not plastic painted silver... I would not mind paying slightly more for a quality improvement. making it look like a better quality than it really is; is a bad practice. honestly how much more would it have cost to make the center of the body real metal... after the cost of the platic then the effort to paint it silver, it likely would not cost much more. complains asside I do like the light, it is bright and the battery last a long time. with the hand crank it is a must have in an emergency kit.

Mine came with a wall charger, car charger and the crank! Awesome. I don't think I would crank it for a full charge since it says it takes 3 minutes of cranking to get 1 minute of light on high. You would be cranking for hours to get a full charge. But still nice to have. I charge it with the wall charger and it works great. I love it. Would have given 5 stars BUT it is not very bright. Even on high, you can barely see 30 feet on a dark night. I wouldn't call it a spotlight, it is more like a really heavy flashlight. This won't shine out 150 feet.

Using this light as a backup home light for power outages or camping has been well worth the investment. When, I first purchased this lantern, I turned it on and left it running all night beside my bed, I woke up and it was still running about 8 hours later. Obviously it did not have the light output strength as it did prior to going to sleep, but if it were out in a tent it would have been plenty. The light is not as strong as the sku94740 solar lantern, but it is better then running candles.


The only down-fall is it mentions that you can charge the lantern with an AC adapter, but no adapter comes with the device nor does it provide info on what adapter to get. But it does show that it is a 3.6 volt battery storage, so I used my other lanterns adapter and it worked fine. The hand crank is good to have when there is no electricity.


I would have given it 5 stars (for the money) but the adapter (lack of info on the adapter) wasn't good. Other than that, it is a good device to have for nearby visible lighting, better than running candles! And a great camping light for tents, as you don't want a huge light in a tent just enough to see. And the different lighting LED's lit obviously add or reduce the light output. The solar lantern sku # 94740 is a 5 star item! look at that one also.

This seems like a great flashlight. Heavy duty, 2 brightnesses, hand crank recharge. But they're pretty expensive and don't last. I've owned 2: the first lasted probably 2 years, so I bought another. This one has given out on me after less than 6 months. I can't get my money back or get it replaced. Really feel like I've wasted my money.

I bought one of these lights several years ago. The LED's give a reasonable amount of light. The hand crank is ok for recharging but the downfall with this light is the battery is a lead acid type. If you forget to charge the battery for a while the light may not work when you need it. These lead acid batteries, which Harbor freight had in their re-chargeable spot lights (which they no longer sell) have a limited life. Once the battery dies the hand crank will no longer light the light either.


This light would be a lot better if it had a NiCad or NiMH battery.

I Am not good at English .. Ok telling you about flashlight is not good enough to hold the battery up to 5 to 10 days when u are not using the flash lights when I m use lights on for 5 mins to 15 mins then I turned off for rest of night without a charger in then next day I found out that light battery goes Dies with 10 to 15 hours .. the bright is not enough over 250 feets it only 30 to 40 feets
