purchased this same unit with a differnt name stamped on it at a much higher price. The unit itself, works great!!! cleaned the primer pockets out and the powder resude really well, just wished I found it on this site before I spent so much more.

I use this to clean my spent brass for reloading and to clean and degrease gun parts. For it work properly,however, you need to use the right cleaning solution. I use Hornady Ultrasonic Cleaner for brass and Hornady Ultrasonic Cleaner for gun parts. Simple Green also works well. I have seen reviews on this machine that are negative, saying that it does not work and they are not using any cleaning solution. That's like washing your hands with just water and no soap. The ultrasound provides the mechanical scrubbing (like rubbing your hands together) and the cleaning solution acts as the solvent. Just make sure the tray is in place or you will burn out the transducer and it will not work.

i think this unit might be over rated for carb work. i attempted to clean a couple carbs and although they did get somewhat cleaned after many many cycles, this is NOT the answer for plugged passages or jets! it did not remove grease build up. also i had a plugged main jet i had in there until the unit safty shut off ( a long time) and when i took it out, the jet was still plugged. I ran many many cycles of water, then water and simple green then water, simple green seafoam. all with limited results.

I had a small 4 clcye Honda carburetor that was plugged. I had a new gallon of the best NAPA carb dip and soaked the carb overnight. The generator still ran very poorly and wouldn't idle after cleaning. Someone suggested that I try the ultrasonic cleaner. Long story short, I did, it woked very well with only a 5 minute trip to the cleaner. This is what I'll use for these small 4 stroke carbs from now on. P.S. The HF crew in Appleton WI are the best. They made me feel like a special customer, showed me the benefits if the Inside Track Club and saved me money with my purchase. I'm not used to that kind of service. Great Job.

Mix vinegar, water and Dawn dish soap for a VERY effective cleaner. I've used many ultrasonic cleaners ober the years, and this one out powers them all!

I clean all jewelry, silver, my nightguard, and anything small enough to fit in this unit. I've loved the outcome every time. Those who've received it say they love it too. Cleans great for my use and I've had no trouble at all with it. It's 3 years old. I use a tiny drop of dish soap in the water.

For occasional use this machine appears to fit the bill nicely. Cleans slowly with is a good thing. Heat option aids the process very well. Overall good product for the price.

It worked well for a few rounds. Then it was DOA. Blew the fuse. Of course it was soldered to the PCB and not easily replaced. I added in a fuse holder. Ran for a spell. Then popped the fuse again. Found a bad rectifier. Running OK since.

After going through three of these units in 2 years, I finally figured out why they don't last long: the seam around the unit where the metal basin meets the plastic case is NOT water-right. As a result, steam from the unit will condense on the lid, and slide down and through the crack in the seam, shorting the unit out. So, if you purchase this unit, make sure you seal the seam before using it extensively.
